A legit D-core for a change

I think Nashville would be looking for at least 1 high end prospect in return and I'm not sure Winnipeg would want to get mixed up with Ellis' contract.

Not the right prospects for NSH to consider this. Forwards with top 6 upside, and right defensemen are their biggest needs. They're pretty set on bottom six and goalie prospects.

For the record, you're not getting A prospects such as Heinola or Perfetti for Ellis unless you add

I didn't suggest either of those names (I don't see Heinola being at the same level as Perfetti though. More of an A- prospect). I merely pointed out the prospects you have here aren't of much use to NSH, and what they'd be looking for. WPG isn't going to get a 1st pair defenseman with retention for a 1st and some ho-hum AHL players NSH doesn't need, just because the Preds feel charitable.
