My take is that 7 of the guys you have dressed here will not be on the team after this year.

I can see them making the playoffs but not much further. Cernak won’t add too much and the forward depth is a question mark. If all 4 of their core forwards can have a brilliant year, I can see them making a deep run.

I mean these trades won’t happen, so start this series next season. It’s been reported that the cap won’t increase till 2022 and even then by only 1mil. It will be incredible difficult for the Leafs to keep the big 4, Hyman, and Rielly. One or two will either get traded or not signed. But you can say that about most NHL teams. The pandemic will make it hard for a lot of NHL teams to stay competitive. Drafting well be a premium. Thankful the Leafs don’t have Hunter running that anymore. Cause Dubas and co are amazing at that
