Andersen was worth a 1st and 2nd back when he was a RFA in his prime. Why would he be worth even close to that as a pending UFA? Better question, why would the Wild give anything for him when Stalock had a better season and is cheaper and they have a goalie prospect that won AHL goalie of the year and is ready for the NHL?

Edit: the Wild don't need Johnsson at all. They'd offer Rask for him or something, but that's about it.

not a bad idea, but a 5mil UFA to be is going to command that much on a club that isn;lt looking at next season, they're looking beyond that before making real noise.

Its also an off season trade and with guys like holtby, lehner, Crawford, murray, markstrom and a ton of cheaper short term options like Talbot, khudobin, Elliot, etc... I'm not sure Andersen has that kind of value.

If Carter Hart or Tukka Rask gets injured (in the off season?) and will miss next season, maybe then you get a 1st for Andersen, but only true contenders would deal value for a 5mil UFA to be.

Especially an unprotected first that could wind up as a lottery pick...

Andersen is not worth a 1st + 2nd. He maybe worth a 2nd or 3rd. Goalie don't hold much trade value, especially one that has 1 year left on his deal and has struggled backstop his team out of the first round of the playoffs.
