The Jets need a 2C, not a 3C with an outside shot at being a barely adequate 2C when he is also looking for a nice raise on his last pro contract. I doubt the Jets consider that.

I am not so sure, Trouba had a bad year in NYC but he's a very good player and at 5 million I would definitely consider it.

Yeah its tough with Strome, only one year of RFA status before he becomes a UFA, if you sign him long term and he doesn't work out you've created a bigger problem or if you sign him to a one year deal and he does well he wants a bigger raise or to test free agency and you lose him for nothing, don't know of he's worth the risk.

Most definitely. I wouldn't mind the Jets getting him to add or replace someone in the bottom 6, but only if he was available for a mid-round pick or B/C prospect. If it is more than that, then as you said it is too big a risk.
