If I am Oilers, I am trying to get Allen

1. No thanks on Petro for 8 years... if he is resigned give him more money for 6 years. 9.5 mil for 6 years. Move Bozak or give Dunn less money and term. 1-2 years for 2.5 mil.

2. Why would you trade Blais and give a mil to Mac? Keep Blais for a mil and give Mac league minimum and have him play in AHL.

Also no chance MTL will want to have 15 mil in their goalies. EDM, Detroit and Carolina are who I would look to for an Allen trade.

Blais is extremely underrated. He's essential to the Blues 4th line.

I can see a team taking a chance on Allen in the off-season. Edmonton and Carolina would benefit from his skill set and affordable salary demands.

I've been wondering if Husso is going to happen. I thought like a lot of others that he was in line ahead of Binnington. Mind you I only really paid attention to him when the Blues/Avs shares a farm team and Binn was playing for Providence.



Yeah this makes more sense. Much safer play and paying Petro 9 or so mil is worth it in the sense that you're guaranteed an elite player. Looking at you Skinner.



A Koskinen-Allen duo for just under 9 would be reasonable. You could expect pretty damn decent goaltending out of either of them for 35 - 45GP.

Pietrangelo's long term projections are very favorable. Doesn't rely on speed or physicality to keep up, rather on skills, which has allowed players like Thornton and Weber to stay relevant deep into their thirties. Plus in eight years who knows where we are as a contender. If we can get Pietrangelo on an eight year contract for a lower cap hit that gives us more flexibility when we know we can be competitive, we should 100% do that.
