Future is bright but 1st trade deadline

Last thing Caps need are defensemen, especially LHD. And especially bad LHD.

I think Boro's having a career year, and any veteran depth for a 3rd is usually decent at the deadline, but I was sad that Sgarbossa didn't get a roster spot. Dude is legit.

I might be one of the few but I dont think they get a 1st for pageau, he is playing career high ice time and has a 10% shooting g percentage both prop him up right now but wont be there when he gets traded.

With two top 5 picks in this year's draft the future couldn't be brighter for you right now BUT you have to keep some veterans in this team otherwise you'll end up like the oilers in the 2000's when there was only rookie with no guidance going nowhere. Picks are nice but 3rd round and lower you'd be better off just keeping your guy especially when they've been with the team for a long time like Boro, his value to your team is higher than what you'll get in a trade.

You are not one of few - only Ottawa fans believe they will get an unconditional first for JP. Evander Kane only brought a second and a meh prospect and the second only became a first when he resigned with SJS - no way JP gets an unconditional first.
