Description
I'd like to think value here is way in CBJs favor here long term. I think you can make a case that Kotkaniemi has the same potential as Dubois. but the reality is Dubois already has a 60+pts season under his belt. CBJ wins in terms of value but MTL get the guy they've been dreaming of...

Make a move / get lucky for Lafreniere and Bergevin / all "vive le Quebec" die hards get their wet dream 1st line of:
Lafreniere - Dubois - Drouin

Caufield abandons the NCAA (can you even do that mid-season???) and signs ELC.

Question for CBJ fans! Would Wennberg have to be included in this deal? would rather keep Thompson in #4C spot, I just thought letting CBJ dump Wennberg and his contract as well would put the deal over the edge.

Hard pass from Columbus. We lost that trade by a mile. We have no interest in moving 2 of our top 3 centers for Domi and someone who’s struggling as a top 6 center for PLD, Wennberg and Anderson.... this is awful for Columbus and gets your number blocked.

Also Wennberg isn’t a dump anymore. He’s starting to turn it around.

This response has to be a joke right. How much value are you giving to Anderson and Wennberg here??? Anderson has a measly 3pts / 1g this season, avg close to 16:30 a game..., Wennberg is playing close to 1st line minutes at almost 18minutes a game...and has 2g and 9pts in 26 games... remove them if you want. I thought I was doing you a favor lol

Domi + KK for Dubois is definitely close, and you can really make an argument for either way I guess, but CBJ comes out on top imo. KK isn't struggling to play top 6, he's being given zero opportunity to play that role. Averages only 13minutes a night with limited PP time (2nd unit). On the other hand PLD (2 years older) plays 18minutes a night with all the PP time in the world. Like I said above PLD has more value now for sure, but KK clearly has similar potential.

Could be any playoff team as far as i'm concerned. I only moved him because I took a cap dump in Wennberg.

Columbus is letting their players work through their issues. Maybe you should be calm and let KK would through his. He could easily become a top 6 center and pairing him with Suzuki would be amazing especially if you can put Domi on the wing.

Also don’t look too far into points, Wennberg had been Columbus best 2 way center this year and Anderson isn’t putting up points but still plays a hard nose game that other teams hate playing against. So even though they aren’t putting up points we don’t want to move them.
