Description
Realistically, Quenneville can write his ticket wherever he wants...and would likely be a coachinig upgrade on almost every team.

I picked the 12 teams I thought most likely to part ways with their coach if Q was available.

If you're him, what destination would you choose and why?

It makes a lot of sense to me for him to go back. I'd put Colorado, Buffalo and Carolina as teams with a lot of talent that need the next push to get them over. As far as his lifestyle goes, Colorado probably matches up best

Hes got a cabin out in the rookies, I know he took a ski trip after the hawks fired him. Could also see him opting for seattle and getting to build his team from the ground up in the exact style he wants

Hawks still have him under contract and as such, Hawks need to approve Q to interview anywhere else and the other team agrees to buying out the contract. It's interesting, and Hawks aren't going to stop him from getting another job but how it shakes out with the acquiring team wouldn't surprise me to follow that up with a favorable player trade for the Hawks.

I think if Edmonton somehow squeaks into a playoff spot, Coach Q might consider trying his hand at turning this roster into something. I think he'd have to be paid handsomely to come to Edmonton, but he does have family here.
