Gotcha. Just going off what I saw. But still would be fine making it a mid round pick or prospect. In the scheme of things that trade doesnt make a big difference.

Theory was trade the pieces for a $6 mill offer sheet to be able to sign Cirelli to lower contract. Can add a little more to get the lower cap hit. Or if it really matters just OS Cirelli at 6. Tampa is really in a bind especially if no one waives.

I would trade Dubnyk for anything useful. I heard GMBG is trying to get a 1st and SJ fans want to trade scraps. Sounds like SJ really likes the Jones/Dubnyk tandem. So I put it as a 2nd. I would be fine switching it with a 3rd, 4th, or really anything.

No just that we are drafting Askarov at 9. Anaheim is the placeholder team.

No you're basically right. Like I said its more on breaking up the "country club" and you get out of the NMC and save 2 years of term.

Oh wow. Yeah that trade is crazy. I could see Donato getting moved so I thought it might have some traction. But you're right who knows.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>wabit</b></div><div>Donato to the Preds doesn't make much sense to me. He's a worse Fiala and we all know how well Fiala did in NSH.
Wild are paying almost $27m ($7.5m x 3 with Ladd, and $2m x 2 retained after that) in dead cap to with the NYI trade. Bellows isn't near enough for all that.
Just keep Parise for 3 more years and you're better off. The last 3 years of his deal he might get "back problems" when his take home pay is only $4m total and go LTIR.</div></div>
Yeah like I stated the Parise trade is another "change of culture" trade so I doubt we get much from him. I really think Guerin is trying to clean house a bit and Parise is someone he wants to move. The wild arent necessarily in a cap situation right now so I dont think the Ladd contract really plays a factor. Its more the culture change he wants.
As for the Donato trade it was rumored so I added it. But I see him staying in his lineup limbo next year also so I could see them making a minor trade with him just to get something.

Kinda was hard to find but supposedly on a podcast Donato himself said he was going to the Preds. Rumors are rumors though so believe it if you want.

Roster shake up
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TanSor</b></div><div>Only trade I don't like is the NYI deal. We need the cap to re-sign Fiala and Kaprizov.
Like the Chicago deal. Losing Brodin sucks really badly, but I think this trade benefits both teams.</div></div>
I did screw up Galenchyuk was suppose to get a 1 year prove it deal. But with that. Dubnyk, Foligno, Galenchyuk would clear up an additional $9 mil. On top of the 5 that is saved already. So next season we would have about $14 mil to resign Fiala, Kaprisov (hopefully not a huge contract after 1 year), Ek, and some of the other RFA’s.
Also the Islander trade gets us out of Parises contract and has a temporary replacement for Brodin on LD in Leddy.

Wild retool
But with that said I don’t know if Hunt + Donato + freeing up 4.425 mil x 3 = to a 1st. Which is in theory what I was going for in that trade.

Wild retool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>RazWild</b></div><div>That doesn't get you Cirelli, as Killorn is anything but a cap dump. Do they need to move him in order to sign players? Yes. But he still plays at a reasonable high level that he'll warrant a good return. The issue in moving him is the M-NTC, and the unlikely scenario that he'll wave to go anywhere. Much less Minnesota.
It's better to just trade directly for Cirelli and avoid this debacle entirely.
But your not getting either of them for our excess trash.</div></div>
As I do think Killorn can still play he is one of the names they will have to use as a cap dump. Along with Gourde and Johnson. All have NTC so it’ll basically come down to who is willing to wave it. He was kind of the one that I’ve heard that will more than likely be the one they want to trade. As with Hunt and Donato the reason they are appealing is their significantly cheap deal and they can play. Hunt at 700k that plays a decent RHD and Donato young shoot first winger. I see them more of a stop gap for TB, especially Hunt.

Yeah I agree. I believe if the Wild can get rid of Parise’s contract they should. The islanders were interested at one point so that’s why I tried to revisit that trade.

I read trade rumors
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>
As for Kessel, I think a 1 for 1 is closer in value with the age difference and production difference. But I don't Minnesota thinks of doing that. They're more in a retool stage and would look to get younger, not older. Arizona is still a perfect fit for him. & Arizona has the pieces to get a deal done. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him end up there
Good luck getting rid of that Rask contract.</div></div>
Yeah the Kessel deal was more hopeful than anything. Also the the Rask contract can be kept with these trades. Which I could see them keeping him and giving him another shot. If the Callahan trade doesnt go through, it would give even more reason to keep him to fill the bottom six. Would also give them more time to find a deal to move him.

Offseason TBL EDM trades
That would be actually ideal. That would be a good replacement for Spurgeon down the road. With that trade I would change the Myers signing. I could see us signing a cheaper right handed D -man with shorter term.
Change that trade and maybe sign Lovejoy for $3M/2-3 years?
Edit: Unless they like a D like Myers to fill that hole.

I will add Galenchyuk doesnt look like a guy we should go for but he is young and can play center. We missed out on him when he got moved from Montreal. Maybe we take a gamble to see if he can grow with the new core we have. If not him, would anyone else from next years FA class be the big splash we need?

Sadly I also know this. One can dream of a russian duo of Kaprizov and Panerin. I thought of maybe Duchene to fill that spot (Also unlikely but probably more likely). Also thought of bringing another MN native in with Anders Lee. He would be cheaper and probably could persuade him to return home. Even though I think he is more of a tier 2 FA in this class.

Yes he is. But I no longer see him as a 1st line center. He would fit pretty good in a 3rd or 4th line center role, but the cap hit says otherwise. With his no trade clause he is going to be there next year and I just see the other centers being more productive.
