KK out options
Unlike a lot of other Canucks fans, I actually think that a miller to mtl trade could work. Mtl would have to take additional cap though, probably Myers. And the payment would still have to be significant.
I think Vancouver could leverage Miller + Myers into a package of Futures (1st +?) and then use the cap space to sign a high end Defensemen next year. I doubt MTL would go for it though so the point is moot

From a Peg perspective as well as Vancouver and SJ, it would take one of the ones you have listed in your untouchables.
Dvorak would probably be the best option as Arizona appears to be looking for long term value such as picks and prospects.
Whether you like it or not, someone like Horvat or PLD will cost a Caufield or Romanov or equivalent.

oilers trades should be exempt from setting market value. They stink at it.
First it was 1 for 1 Hall Larsson and now this?

there have been a lot of mocks of calgary taking on drouin, i dont mind it if he comes in and plays bottom 6 with backlund. most i would want to see given up is maaaaaybe a third, and like a florida third that should be in the bottom 10 of the draft. or a a 4th and a lottery ticket prospect like rory kerins

From an ANA perspective, I'd like to see them trade Silfverberg (plus 4th), Fowler (plus more from MTL), Shattenkirk (plus more from ANA). I think Drouin could do well in ANA (small market, away from spotlight)

He might sign after is 4th year, no teams would be welling to trade for Harris because he might go straight to UFA

I think the major reason he did not sign this year was the 14 day quarantine and his parents may have wanted him to finish school. There is no indication that Harris will not sign after next season, the same speculations were swirling when Poehling elected to return to school. There is no reason to think the outcome will be any different with Harris.

Realistic TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Sure Luke Glendening $900,000 50% retention for either a 2021/2022 2nd round pick perhaps, But you and i know full well that he isn't going to get that kind of return.</div></div>
So your saying Yzerman wouldn't take a 3rd + a prospect like Hillis or Gordon? Or how about a 3rd + 5th (Ott) which is basically a 4th? It would be bad asset management to turn down any deal involving Glendenning with retention just because you don't want to retain 900k. BTW I don't think anyone would ask for retention, I am just making a point that Yzerman would retain IF asked to for additional assets.

Nick Paul would probably cost a 2nd round pick by himself. Probably a 1st if he's going to Montreal because they'd have to overpay. However I do think Ottawa would pick up Byron's contract for the next two years for a 2nd. He definitely wouldn't do what Paul does but I think a 2nd is fair compensation for eating that money.

Realistic TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>DiehardRedWingsFan58</b></div><div>Like i've stated on numerous threads like this one, the odds of Yzerman retaining on Glendening are fairly slim, Yzerman will want to retain on Bernier, Helm, Nemeth, Filppula or Staal not on a miniscule $1.8 million for Luke Glendening.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>Same story different day wings aren't retaining on LGD</div></div>
And that is why you guys are not GM's, any GM will retain on any player as long as they are compensated for it (unless they are MB who not only gives away players but retains on them as well, Kovalchuck) Kovalchuck was only at 750k and Montreal retained half of that (they should have gotten an additional pick but that is on MB). If the only player who is garnering any interest is Glendening or if they only trade two of them and one is Glendenning Yzerman would retain on him to maximize the return. To say Yzerman won't retain on a Glendenning trade is not correct, perhaps more of a "Yzerman will not retain on Glendenning unless it benefits the Wings" would be more appropriate.
Also, No one wants Filppula or Helm and very few others will want Nemeth, so the Wings won't have to worry about retaining on them. Luckily for the Wings though they are all UFA's at the end of the season so they won't hurt the cap situation going forward (unless the Wings can't hit the cap floor, but I doubt that would be a problem, they aren't after all Ottawa).

TDL for playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>It's very simple he is a UFA at the end of the season and most likely won't sign with Detroit at the end of the season. Plus Montreal isn't the only team interested in Glendening.
How does that make sense? First being able to flip a player isn't a selling point! Why would a team accept a trade were they have to turn around and trade a player and retain half of his salary just to break even. Let's be honest if Montreal could get a 2nd for Armia he'd already be gone!
Come on this is just common sense. Now my brain hurts!</div></div>
1. Armia is more valuable than Glendening, imagine for a second that you had a player like Armia already on your team... you'd be asking for a 2nd.
2. Players getting flipped after being traded is nothing new bozo. See:
- Hoffman OTT to SJ to FLA
- Galchenyuk OTT to CAR to TOR
- Scandella BUF to MTL to STL
Thats just 3 examples off the top of my head in 10 seconds.
And what are you talking about just to break even? Since when does a 2nd and a 4th = a 3rd?
3. I would not trade Armia for a 2nd unless we were sellers at the deadline, which is not likely. MTL has no interest in trading Armia at this time which is why he hasn't been traded.
DET fans blow my mind on this site. (Not all, but seriously what's going on here, a proposal of Armia and a 4th for Glendening and wings fans are arguing no we want a 3rd.... LOL.)

<a href="/users/yanleg96" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@yanleg96</a> I feel like you are trying to cap gymnastics by trading Armia and Weal but it isn't necessary.
MTL actually daily accumulated cap space will be enough by the trade deadline, Armchair GM is season projected not updated daily.

In a whacky universe where this is was actually offered and you were wings GM you would decline because it is too much work? Lol
This is the equivalent of DET offering Glendening and a 4th for Weal.. do you see how it makes no sense?

"Buffalos not really getting a decent prospect" What a joke!
Buffalo would take that deal and run.
Montour = Armia, Joel and 2021 2nd round pick (MTL)
Hall = Tatar, Tomas and 2022 1st round pick (MTL)
The prospects are gravy or icing on the cake Ikonen, and Fairbrother.
BUT I would want Bergevin to get extensions for Armia and Tatar before I would make the trade.

Buffalos not really getting a decent prospect, Ikonen is a recovery project, Fairbrother is meh, Tatar and Armia walk, so they end up with a mid to late first, for both players. I think they pass
