It’d have to be Jensen for cap reasons for Caps as well if there’s no retention.
So Jensen, who’s a better player than TVR, and a 4th is my offer.
And Dowd for Kakko,
NYR is obviously looking to move him by asking for his 15-team no trade list.

I disagree. He’s at least worth a 1st and a 3rd, and this 1st is #28 which is really late. So that should be accurate, but we don’t have to agree.

Calgary probably considers but ultimately decline. Yes they need centers but they most need a legitimate 1C, and McMichael can't be sent down anymore.</div></div>
Yeah, it might be wishful thinking, but one can always hope!
McMichael probably tops out as a 2C, but a really late 1st that’s not even their own and a 2nd is fair value for a young, cost controlled C who has already established himself as an top-9 NHL player.

On a serious note: we will probably never see what a Nurse Jones pairing is like because they are both overpaid. Hawks don’t mind Jones as he is by far the best option they have at top pairing RD but can’t see them being willing to take Nurse w/o being paid handsomely to do so.
Vlasic is part of the future core & only slightly lest untouchable than Bedard.</div></div>
Appreciate it buddy!
Yeah, that’s what was so alluring about it, the 19M$ pair who should earn 11-12 and play 18-19 minutes a night :) Didn’t mean to disrespect the Hawks though.. since it probably wouldn’t have been as funny for you guys ;)

Moving Draisaitl and Nurse
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FarhanLuigi</b></div><div>I cant believe I'm saying this, as I continually tell people here that cap space is a great return in itself.
Your overrating cap space.
These superstar players like McDavid, MacKinnon and Draisaitl will always be underpaid because of the max cap limit. You are never saving money trading away special talent like that.</div></div>
I hear you and I agree to some extent! But surrounding McDavid with as many good to great contracts as possible in his prime should be the no.1 priority. There’s a business approach to it as well. Risk diversification. McD, Drai, Hyman, Kane, RNH is a really strong top-6, but if McD or Drai can’t play they’re probably not contending. If anyone is injured in the proposed top-9 they still got a shot because of the depth IMO. Which leads me back, again, to my question. Would this lineup improve McDavid’s/Edmonton’s chances of winning?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FarhanLuigi</b></div><div>That was simply off the top of my head and I did say plus attached to those offers outside Marner and Lijegren. The fact that the Oilers would even have the balls to trade Draisaitl would be unreal. The offers would be off the charts and well beyond the ones I listed and this ACGM</div></div>
Yes, the value for “just” Draisaitl in a vacuum is not enough, but the value of shedding 8+ M$ in cap space is also worth a lot for Edmonton in their current situation. And my question was, is this trade off worth it for Edmonton, does this make Edmonton better?

Moving Draisaitl and Nurse
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jco5ta5</b></div><div>That's a bit rich bud. He was great and he may still improve but he's not a franchise defenseman like you're suggesting here with the top 5 pick. Nurse also won't cost "multiple 1sts" that is absurd. PLD got traded 1 to 1 with zero retention.
That said: mw6 there really is no way you're getting Foligno who is basically the team's captain and Vlasic who is the team's current best defenseman and put up pretty solid metrics on a horrific D corp last year in his rookie season. If he hadn't had a few extra games prior to this season already he would've been talked about in the Calder voting, but he didn't qualify. Nurse and Jones are arguably two of the worst contracts in the league. No way Chicago wants or needs him.
For everyone else reading this post, Davidson is building a team of his own vision. Anything he's acquired, signed, or drafted is likely OFF the table. He appears very calculated in his moves so acquiring and signing Foligno and signing Vlasic to 6 years is purposeful and he's not going to then just flip them for parts. I encourage you before you make an ACGM involving Chicago, it shouldn't involve any Davidson pieces.</div></div>
I’m sorry, I had him mixed up with Marc-Edouard. I’m embarrassed. I was thinking two veterans who might want to coattail and McDavid for a/another chance at a cup.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChiHawk</b></div><div>It's okay but keep in mind Vlasic was the #2 defensive dman in the entire league this past season, as a rookie, playing 1st line minutes in the toughest situations, on a horrible Hawks team. Vlasic is an absolute stud of a shut down dman and given his age, is extremely valuable to every team in the league. Had the Hawks not given Vlasic 22 games to taste the NHL prior to this past season, he would of been in conversation for rookie of the year this past season as this was his first year as a true NHL player. Not saying he would win against Faber or Bedard, but he would have been nominated and part of the conversation as the best 3 or 4 rookies this season.</div></div>
Oh, jeez.. I’m so sorry, I mixed him up with Marc-Eduard! What an embarrassment I am! No need to chastise me for this!

Campbell is an easy buyout with the bonuses. Ceci with a year of term can be flipped. Its Draisaitl for a few meagre pieces and Leonard.
If I'm the Canucks I can offer Boeser plus Lekkermaki plus and beat this.
If I'm the Habs i can offer Dach and Beck plus and beat this
If i'm the Leafs I can offer Marner and Liljegren and beat this.
This wont be close to the Draisaitl value if it happens.
Think top5 pick and top 6 forward with another A prospect.</div></div>
Maybe you’re right. But not many teams can take on that kind of cap space and re-sign him. That’s like 8M in dead cap space and an extra 4M to re-sign Draisaitl.

Unfortunately Leafs have to take on some salary to make it work, and I wouldn’t mind keeping TVR around if Caps didn’t need to get someone to take the load off of Carlson, and TVR isn’t that guy. Really reliable 2nd/3rd pair ‘tweener.
So I’m not sure Caps would even go this high, so I doubt that sort of prospect would included instead of a third. I’ll give you two options instead:
McMichael, Protas, TVR, 1st 2024, 2nd 2025 and Brent Johnson
Or
McMichael, Nick Jensen, Andrew Cristall, 1st 2025, 2nd 2026, 3rd 2024

I hate to be that guy, but I think both you and I know Kakko isn’t bringing back a top line player at the moment, and I guess that’s why he only signed his QO recently. And there is no player in the league that does what Dowd do on a cheaper contract.. but if you deem a trade is unlikely.. your guess is probably at least as good as mine.
