How to make it work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Masonh618</b></div><div>We said the same thing with Ovechkin and look at the contract he signed. Bergy isn’t taking that especially when his long-time agent will likely offer him at least triple of that salary to play in Montreal.</div></div>
bergeron in his presser already said its boston or retirement. no other team.

Fairytale
Funny how people get so mad at the trades when the title is literally fairytale they really do take this too seriously

Potential
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Ekholm is miles better than Grizz. I like Lauko but i think he’s a poor man’s Debrusk. Never been high on Urho.
Depends on Preds X draft, they can unload a big cap hit it helps them out immensely.</div></div>
Yes, Eckholm is better, I didn't say he wasn't. I said the difference was not worth what they would be giving up. Especially for 1 year and then a presumable large payday.
Lauko is the exact opposite of Debrusk. He is very consistent, and he plays hard. Very hard. In fact, that is the only knock on him. He might think he is a little tougher than he is. He is much faster than Debrusk too.

The lockwood fight in particular - JD wouldn't be sitting if he had ANY of this in him.

since yall dont know anything about trades
Duchene just went for a 1st, a mid level prospect, a struggling top prospect and a conditional 1st, what makes you think Stone will get almost double that value

Barrie
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rosatoa1367</b></div><div><i>Barrie has gotten 40+ points in two straight years, he's young and he's big. There are not many defensman left who we can lock up long term for that, it'll always be either Barrie, Trouba or Dumba...take your pick</i></div></div>
Well, he's only 5'10'' so he's the farthest thing from big. He's also rough in his own end, and we don't need that. Offense wasn't the issue last season. We need a guy who is sound in his own while also being able to transition the puck.

What's missing for the cup run?
I have to ask, why do you really think Boston would want to make that move? Or Edmonton? Neither goalie has ever proved anything, so why give up Rask with a 2nd rounder? Why add a $4.5M backup in Edmonton and give u up a 2nd rounder? Interesting thoughts... I think moving your goalies is a good idea, but maybe try a team that needs a goalie. Calgary, maybe Carolina... and don't ask for 2nd round picks in return, neither of them are worth that. We know all about moving high dollar contracts of useless goalies in Detroit. We know we are taking a loss this year on that one.

Two moves
The Chicago deal is solid. I love Ryan Hartman and his style of play. I think Eriksson + Subban is more than enough to get Hartman + 1st. Don't need Runblad, he's another bottom 6 defenseman and we have enough of those. The Arizona deal is hit-or-miss. I'm not sure Arizona would do that. Michael Stone is a decent top 4 defenseman right now. They'd be downgrading at the position. Us throwing a first for him seems like a bad use of assets on our end, since you traded Eriksson, thus saying we're still going for it, but may still miss the playoffs (and they have a better chance to miss w/o Eriksson). With that you gave up a potential lottery pick (and if they don't win the lottery who knows where they'd fall) and at worst an early (top 15) first. Not sure Stone is worth that. Also, could have sworn Downie was placed on waivers already. Could have claimed him for free.

Hearing Z in play
Honestly. Do you make terrible trades just to see my reaction? That St. Louis deal is one of the worst. You destroyed the Bruins in that one for a side-ways move. Gunnarsson is just as good, maybe slightly (SLIGHTLY) better than Seidenberg. Morrow >> Bortuzzo. So you downgrade at the bottom 6 position, maybe slightly upgrade (and I'd argue stay the same) with the Seidenberg and Gunnarsson swap, and add in a young cost controlled forward who looks to like he has great goal scoring gifts, AND a first round pick? Kevan Miller sucks but he's better than Bortuzzo as well.
Now, Minnesota is falling out of it. So why in the fuck would they trade a young defenseman with top 4 upside, a solid #3-4 in Scandella, AND a good center/wing in Coyle for that junk? Chara doesn't help them (and he ain't waiving to there anyway), Eriksson is a UFA and leaves at seasons' end, Koko is an unknown and Trotman is (contrary to your belief of a future #3, I've seen you say that before) is probably nothing more than a #5-6 who maybe can slide up if needed for a short amount of time. Then you throw in their first 4 picks in this years draft. I think I'm getting the hint. You aren't this dumb, and you are doing this to see what I say b/c no one would make these trades and think they work.
CBJ trade is meh. Bruins get another small forward who is somewhat inconsistent and has a blah cap hit for what he is. In the process you give up two young forwards with upside, and a solid goalie prospect who could be used in a different deal for a better play.
You once again have made the Bruins slightly better, while weakening their prospect pool, and giving them NOTHING in terms of drafting. WHERE YOU BUILD YOUR TEAM THROUGH. Well done. Like the guy above said perfectly, these three trades are all atrocious, but other than that, it looks really good.
