Don’t even trade Vaak or Lauko. They are off the market. Take Bjork I heard he is more likely to be traded

Duchene just went for a 1st, a mid level prospect, a struggling top prospect and a conditional 1st, what makes you think Stone will get almost double that value

Both were in the Jackets top 5 prospect list. He was also their last cut this year in camp. Hes playing with men in the SHL, has slick hands and a great shot

What team is going to want to trade for a winger that's struggled in the NHL and has had back to back season ending shoulder surgeries? Better yet, why would Boston sell him when his value is at an all-time tank

So in terms of top 5 prospects in a teams system JFK and Lauzon should be plenty to get a deal done with a 1st and a conditional pick. Both of them are closer to being/if not already NHL ready and have logged NHL minutes.

I completely agree I just dont think Stone gets double Duchenes value. He'll get more but not double the amount

I dont know much about Bruins prospects but if i was to guess, Vaak and Studnicka would be top 2 prospects. So, i think it would be: Frederic, Zboril, a 1st, another conditional 1st (Fair trade for a rental). However, Stone is better than Duchene and its an interdivision trade so it would definitely be much higher than my offer. Its going to take Zboril + Studnicka + Bjork + 2 1sts (1 is conditional) at the least to acquire him

Duchene isnt a top 20 or maybe even 30 centre. Stone is a top 5 winger, best 2 way winger, leads the league in takeaways, +15 on a Sens team with -36 goal differential and elevates an entire line. hell, Tkachuk and White dont even look like 30pt players without him right now.

I wanted to do Donato / Frederic / 2019 1st and most Bruins fan didn't like it lol. I figured that was probably the lowest amount possible so it's not surprising they have a problem with your offer. I think it's gonna take Vaak or Studnicka now because the Bruins traded the comparable prospect to them for a 3rd liner in Coyle. They saved a better pick by trading Donato instead of a guy like Cehlarik for Coyle, but by doing that they basically cemented Vaak or Studnicka into any deal for Stone or Panarin.

It seems like it'll be obvious how the conversation will go now as Ottawa targets DeBrusk and the Bruins refuse to give him up, so they come off of DeBrusk for Vaak or Studnicka to be the centerpiece. That's the only way a deal should get done, but I'm hoping Ottawa's GM is about as good at negotiating as his team is at winning games.
