They do have a reason to trade him... asked for a trade. Torts has already expressed in his interviews in the past about panarin and bob that he wants players who want to be there.

I mean I said unlikely to a first. Josh Anderson is the knock off version of Tom Wilson. Players like that are difficult to find. So due to the rarity and considering Wilson is getting over 5mil. If teams were attempting to get him to sign a qualifying offer I would assuming he would be signing something between 3.5 and 4.5 mil (because if they went any lower Columbus may match it) which would be either a 1st + a 3rd (4.2+) or a 2nd. So in other words my initial request was a 2nd + a prospect and I still think that is a fair evaluation. However if a team picking low in the first round want to throw that pick in then it is an obvious decision.

Couple things... one, plus minus is not a very useful stat in gauging an individual’s value. Two, I would say Nashville has a lot of players that CAN play center but they are often in the line up as wings because they are not as good at center. I personally think the only way Turris leave Nashville is with a pick attached to him or 50% retained to a BUF or OTT (teams with cap space).

But I do want to say you made some good points and I appreciate you analysis.

Not a rangers fan but I just think that putting lias in Nashville with a good collection of Swedes and eeli with kappo could maybe provide some comfort and familiarity that could make it a home run for both teams. And we could flip Chris and Jesper to the two Alberta teams, I am just cheering for a pacific division arms race after the hall trade because I think it would be a fun story to track.
