Yea that would be a good option plus cheaper for the canucks. I think colorado will expose Graves in the Seattle expansion draft though. Oleksiak would be a good target though for sure.

I strongly dislike this trade, Motte is the canucks best bottom 6 forward and he's cost controlled. He kills penalties and works his was off. Canucks would be morons if they trade him ngl

Trading for waiver fodder
Overpay for Pettersson, he hasn't even had a ppg season yet. Sure he's good defensively but I think he'll either get a bridge like barzal at 3×7mil or he'll get the aho contract cuz they're similar players.
As for the rest, just wait out the bad contracts. Its only 1-2 years then we'll be whooping ass

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ritzy</b></div><div>I'm curious if this 3 year contract for Laine makes him a UFA afterwards. I'd be surprised if he took another short term deal. If you can convince Petey and Hughes to take short term deals, this is a good looking team for a few years.</div></div>
I think he'd still be a rfa cuz he's 22 rn. I agree with what you're saying tho

Yea I think getting grabner would be sick. He can score and kill penalties

Its the most important 20 games of the season, the whole goal is to win championships. As a casual canucks fan ur not used to playing important games so I'm not surprised u wouldn't understand.
I'm a canucks fan and even I understand what a huge advantage this would give Tampa

Pearson and Kuch for playoffs
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hunsburglar</b></div><div>So you think that because a player is injured it increases his value?
Edit: this is a canucks fan doing the trade from Tampa's perspective, that makes more sense</div></div>
Yea I'm a canucks fan, and he's worth more because his cap won't count during the season which allows tampa to add a good player just in time for playoffs.
Tampas looking to win a championship, adding Pearson and kuch will help them big time. Plus if there are injuries Pearson can step into the top 6.
I already said a 2nd is where Pearson value is, tampa will win the cup with him which is a late first basically a second. I think this is fair especially considering what tampa paid for Coleman and goodrow last year.

Why would the canucks get rid of boeser for an older player who plays a position that the canucks have tons of. Like seriously, Hughes edler Juolevi rathbone Benn schmidt can all play the left side. We need eighties if anything! And we won't be trading boeser for one

Obviously goes against what I just said, but I said this summer here’s a package for him I personally like: 7OA in 2020 (so last year, can be switched to this years first), a second this year or next, Nolan Foote, Ty Smith, and Nick Hischier.
Also players available right now doesn’t mean they won’t be available in a month from now, 2 months 3 months, next summer. Can still move him then</div></div>
I see what you're saying. So basically a 1st, 2nd, B prospect, top 4 D, and top 6 center.
So if the canucks offered you 2 1sts, 2nd, Miller, and rafferty what would be your thoughts?
A lot of times the trades that do happen are much worse than what fans expect when stars get traded which makes it very complicated.

Which players available now would u like for Eichel. With the laine and Dubois situation taken care off, there isn't any high profile young gun available for trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ritzy</b></div><div>I'm going to bypass the trade value, I have nothing of value to that.
But, is it wise to take on $10M in salary when you've got Petey and Hughes to pay next year? Is there enough money coming off the books to pay them both? Edler and Pearson's contracts will pretty well add up to what Petey is going to get.</div></div>
I think so, because sending both Miller and Myers the other way gives some cap flexibility. Not to mention the canucks don't have to resign Montour if he doesn't pan out. The team will basically have a couple more million to spend than what they do now.
Imo I think this trade is great for vancouver perspective. However it seems that buffalo fans want more for Eichel which is understandable. I just don't see how a team could do it, in this scenario at least they're getting a 1C in his prime and 2 firsts.

Yea tbf I could have just cut the trade off at Miller and 2 firsts but I thought I would add Gaudette and Virtanen since they are in rumours lately. Myers has been one of our best D this year, he does make some dumb mistakes but he's overall been good and I put him in to deal with the cap.
Who else would u add instead of Myers to make the cap work if we were basing it off of Eichel for Miller 2 1sts ++
