Well I am not a Leaf fan or a Vegas fan. Matthews is clearly the best player in the deal , but everyone except Leaf fans can see that he is just not happy in TO. In this trade TO get a great two way player with a lot of heart and grit in the lineup. They also get a short term backup in Subban. Then on top of that a 1st an 2nd. Maybe you make it 2 first. But this would work well for both teams. TO Fans are like my Hab fans. We think all our players are worth more than they really are.

Spoken like a true Leaf fan... The reality is that He has been bad since not being named Captain, He will be leaving as soon as his contract is done. ZERO chance he stays. Stone would fight for his team mates . Suban is still better than what you have as a backup.

I would send KK to the minors for a couple weeks. Light a fire in him just like they did with Mete last year..

Hall vs Primeau
Why are people all willing to trade Primeau, yes he is talented, will be Montreal's next starter, has great potential. Give him a couple years to shine and take 30 games as Price's back up next year. We all know that Price is great but has been fragile at times. His next knee injury could be his last. If he gets hurt then what, Montreal has no goalie left if you trade Primeau. He is one that should be untouchable for now. At least not for a Rental. There is no way Hall Signs with Montreal so why give up anything at all for him.

Blue jackets fans- What do u think
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ajp_18</b></div><div>That we are going to pass. Take out our top pick from last season and have an extension in place for Markstrom and maybe. I’d rather see a Korpisalo and Anderson for Demko and a Pearson, Sutter or Beartchi trade.
DiPietro is the goalie of the future for Vancover so you might as well ride Markstrom now that he’s living up to potential and move Demko for a solid top 6 player you need. Then use Korpisalo as the backup until DiPietro is ready.</div></div>
Not a chance that DePietro is the goalie of the future, Demko took that away. At best he is a good back-up in Van who could take 30 games a year. I would trade Markstom at the TDL for a quality backup and a draft pic. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Gofnut999</b></div><div>Who says he’d have yo play 60. I said split. Besides it’s not that big of an issue. Has to be done at some point and it is not done gradually as a rule.
Wasn’t my idea and i never said it was a good one, i just answered your question.
Markstrom is a UFA to be and will likely sign elsewhere. Wanna lose him for nothing or add KK in this deal? Take the pick and use that to get a Craig Anderson/Devin Dubnyk type to split.
Leafs would never do it anyway.</div></div>
Demko is their Goalie of the future, He is ready to play 50 games this year, All they need to do is find a solid backup for him this season .There are several available. Toronto does not believe in spending on a back up. Also Woll or DiPietro are ones who can back up next year in Van. Markstrom won't resign in Van as he knows he is not in the plans for Van beyond this season. Vancouver has riches in goalies in their system

KOTKANIEMI should go down for a few games, give him a wake up like Mete last year. Let him ride the bus for 5 to 6 games. Hopefully just like Mete he will come back with more confidence.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ConnorsCousin</b></div><div>Maybe remove one of the 2nd rounders and this would be a closer deal. The only thing is I'm not sure Tatar is the perfect candidate for a trade like this. I'd prefer a RH since we're bare on those forwards.</div></div>
I put the second one in there because you really need to dump Gagner to fit in Tatar. Hudon could come up and fill a bottom 6 role if needed.

Anaheim is this Fair
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>Habs are trying to be better team and make the playoffs. What's the purpose of trading of one of your top two wingers for non immediate help?
IMO, I think it's bad long term to even have JKotk on left wing. Have him learn to be a centre, even at the AHL level. In a couple of years. Domi, KK, and Poehling at centre...that could be really good.</div></div>
I am a HABs fan to the core, but if you look at this team, even if we make the playoffs, we don"t have a chance. So i say lets let the kids play, get a couple good draft picks, maybe i should have asked for more for Tatar. Point is he has value now. This way we can let KK be on the wing, get stronger and keep Poehling at Ctr.

Yes very true except he got beat on 3 breakaways, two Blocker side. Since i am a goalie i generally look for the good in a goalie,s game. yes he gets no help but doesn't give his team a save when needed
