Well I am not a Leaf fan or a Vegas fan. Matthews is clearly the best player in the deal , but everyone except Leaf fans can see that he is just not happy in TO. In this trade TO get a great two way player with a lot of heart and grit in the lineup. They also get a short term backup in Subban. Then on top of that a 1st an 2nd. Maybe you make it 2 first. But this would work well for both teams. TO Fans are like my Hab fans. We think all our players are worth more than they really are.

Any GM that makes a dwal like this would be fired on the spot and in Toronto he may be taken out behind the barn and shot. I think Matthews loves playing in Toronto especially after Babcock was fired. Its like saying its clear that carey price hates playing in MTL because he hasnt been playing his best hockey. It makes no sense at all. Just like an Aston matthews trade makes zero sense.
