Something a little different weel maybe
I was going to make it a 3rd but thought adding Detroit's 4th and a small difference in cap space might help

Goalie for cap space LTIR
They get a quality goalie prospect . A top D prospect in a city that wont be as hard on him and 3 first round pick they they can use in trades or picks

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Why are all Habs fans so convinced Weber is going to voluntarily retire and give up millions of dollars, instead of staying on LTIR? He's too injured to likely ever play again, and that's what LTIR is for.</div></div>
Its simple, he has made $122million in his career. only owed $6nillion on remainder of his contract. After taxes and escrow its only 2.5M. So he doesn't care about the rest. He was never going to finish that contract. that's why the league implemented the penalty in the first place .

Hello Nashville
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>A team can't force an injured player to retire. Weber would stand to lose $6M if they did that.</div></div>
Actually Nashville would be on the hook if he retired.

Weber is slowing down and whit his cap space we can get a RD, Nashville is screwed if he retires before the end of his contract. So this helps them long term...
Lecky Trade is to fee up Cap space for the RD, Also Lecky is no longer the darling player he was under Claude...Doesn't have to be the wing, just any team.

Shea Weber and David Poile
The Trade was not about Webber or PK, It was all about the 13-8-8M signing Bonus Webber was owed and the length left on his contract . Subban was owed only 2-2M and was traded before his 6M bonus kicked in. IT WAS ALL ABOUT MONEY, Nashville is a small market hockey team.

To Ottawa Alzner, a 2nd 2020, a 2nd 2021
To Montreal a7th</div></div>
Why would we do that. We don't actually need to get rid of his contract. He has proven to be a good mentor in the minors for our D prospects. Ottawa is pretty much a minor league team for the next couple years. Alzner carries a 4.6M hit but only cost 3m in actual money this year and 3.5 next year. He can fill a spot and be a mentor to the kids. And there are a lot of kids on the team . Montreal would actually be doing you a favor.....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fran615</b></div><div>Yup, agree</div></div>
Its not like i think V doesn't need Tuch, Its more they need cap space. We have space, we could take back a bad contract and free up space for V. Listen Vegas did it to every team during the expansion draft. It doesn't have to be Pohling, we have other depth players. I just put him in there because the cap hit.

Like i said some team will want it. it could be real team like Det, Buf, Jersey, Ottawa is not a real team yet and when the kids are ready Melcraphaed wont pay them

LOL Actually Alzner's contract is going to be a blessing, Cap hit is 4.6M, but actual cost is 3M. teams that need to get to cap floor without spending to cap floor will value his contract. If not Ottawa someone will.

But seriously, Winnipeg need a good #2 center and your defense is in bad shape. We need some goals and have lots of centers , plus we have an abundance of picks....So what is Danault worth and what D would fit the bill....

I think we could get one more draft pic ( 2nd 2121)in this deal for Price. The problem with Price right now is Montreal..way to much media pressure, You watch when he gets traded( And he will) there will be so much lifted off his shoulders that he will win a cup. If I am Carolina I go get Price. Make Mlt hold 2.5 Mil back .
