<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>Oh yeah? How about him sneaking Campbell in there? You think it's EDM that says no? That's rich.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mr_Gardoki</b></div><div>This board is going downhill fast</div></div>
So true dude

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NucksnOilers</b></div><div>I'm not saying the Pens say yes either, they can get a much stronger return elsewhere. Campbell costs one first to dump, his buyout never surpasses 2.75 million and it stays under 1.75 million for 3 of the 5 years. That doesn't cost two firsts.

So then it would be Mcleod + broberg + 25'1st + 25'3rd for JG and AN. I don't want JG for his price, he's a super valuable asset it's just that Edmonton doesn't need another top 6 piece. He would only be a rental as well. Mcleod is also essentially an untouchable for this team so yeah</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Timmah007</b></div><div>Who cares if Campbell is included. Only thing coming back of note is a top six forward for a few months. That doesn’t justify multiple firsts and two quality young players.</div></div>

My thought was guentzel was worth broberg+1st+3rd
Clearing Campbell’s contract=1st
Ned=mccleod
Tbh tho I don’t see Pit bringing in another big goalie contract… unless we’re completely rebuilding and saying Blomqvist is the next guy and in that case we’d move Jarry out too…
So while I think the package is close to fair in value objectively, the fit isn’t the best overall…

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensgm</b></div><div>I dont love retaining that much on EK or adding a 2. Sure they are different players and we need pesce more but factoring that retention and if he gets extened at 7mil plus its sort of like we are paying him 11 mil</div></div>

I agree with everything and this all nonsense in this post makes less than zero sense...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nativewulf</b></div><div>NSH at the very least will not be big buyers this year at the TDL. More than likely we probably sell or make a couple of hockey trades of under-performing players looking for a change of scenery.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensgm</b></div><div>I would do that nsh trade, would they Im not so sure. I do think him going there makes some sense</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Even if NSH were in a position where they should be going all in this year, that's an overpay.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pensfan303</b></div><div>mayby after the 70th guentzel trade ACGM you make, you will realize we won't be moving Jake</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>herzausstein</b></div><div>If Nashville moves their #2C novak, it is becuase theyre packing it in for the year. Not to get an expensive wing upgrade. Their center depth is garbage with Novak and even worse without him. They are not a team that should even be considering making a move for an expensive winger. They need to be considering a young longterm center upgrade as clearly glass is a failure</div></div>

This doesn't make sense for NSH.
<a href="/users/gpmack95" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@gpmack95</a> bro why take a logical trade from another post and ruin it lol? like NSH can't afford to move Novak in this deal... if they're going for it, they aren't moving significant pieces from their current roster... plus this trade is skewed heavily to PIT... and if PIT is getting a 4th piece back besides Tomasino/1st/2nd then PIT probably is including another roster player to help NSH's playoff push...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gpmack95</b></div><div>Penguins don’t need Pionk (Letang AND Karlsson) and Pettersson isn’t avaliable unless its a crazy good offer.

Guentzel is avaliable though</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>CanMerc</b></div><div>Jets Decline
This isn’t what WPG needs</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Victor24</b></div><div>Trading two elite pieces for depth pieces is a bad idea.</div></div>

Awful trade, Dubas laughs and hangs up.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Windjammer</b></div><div>Neither player does anything for Winnipeg and rentals don't return that much.</div></div>

don't see this making sense for either team a lot... if WPG is trying to go for it, they would not subtract significant pieces off their current roster... and PIT is not thinking about moving Pettersson... guentzel is the easy one IF and ONLY IF the pens fall out of it big time... Pettersson may be moved in the offseason or at next year's TDL if the team is deciding to do a massive retool bordering on rebuilding... the only thing that could possibly happen to change the Pens minds and path forward from what I just said would be a pair of season-ending injuries to Sidney Crosby and Kris Letang... those 2 players are the only 2 irreplaceable players on the pens roster right now and subtracting them would alter the course for this year dramatically....

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>datools</b></div><div>I absolutely hate the thought of Guentzel leaving.

If he does though I think this could be a good for for both teams. In my dream scenario we still sign him to 9.5x8 in the off-season</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensgm</b></div><div>Many people have been posting near the same Van trade.

to the point that its a swap both teams need im not so sure about. If he hits the market there will likely be a bidding war and this does not get it done</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pensfan21</b></div><div>I think this is a logical move for both teams. I would say we try and get Hoglander back too, that way we not only get a replacement, but also some depth and a good player for the future. I don't think Kuzmenko will be able to make up for Guentzel's production, but if we continue to play structured hockey and good team defense I think we will be tough to beat regardless whose in the lineup.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Vancity2196</b></div><div>Canucks decline.</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>igbpv</b></div><div>That’s good cause tbh, Pens probably ask for Nils back too or else it’s not good for them</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Victor24</b></div><div>If they trade Guentzel, this is probably close to the deal.

Both sides can walk away without an L for their players and fans.</div></div>

The best thing long term for the penguins franchise would be to lose some tight games in the next month and fall out of the playoff picture and flip guentzel for a 1st plus a good prospect maybe more depends on how many teams get involved… this does not mean PIT could not resign Jake in the off-season but if we were to trade him I doubt we would… obviously I’d hate to see guentzel leave, he would be a great career penguin, if he stayed in PIT till retirement no one would complain but the sooner the pens start trying to be terrible again and start building for the future the better the next era of penguins hockey will turn out
