Pre injury, his numbers are better than Binnington, which is why you refuse to look at his number pre injury...
So keep it up, you aren't getting Woll... Have fun with it

So you just block out all reality and plow through... got it.
Woll's quality start pct this season was 48%. Binnington's was 60%. He stole games for the Blues the entire season long. He will likely get a decent amount of Vezina votes when the totals are released. Everybody and their mother knows Binnington was nigh miraculous this season... apparently Toronto doesnt get much hockey coverage. :tearsofjoy
Also, umm, where is Woll's Cup win as a rookie?</div></div>
That's throughout the entire season, and not factoring that Woll was hurt the last chunk of it... 10/25 games to be exact with 3 of them being quality starts...
so... 25-10=15... 12-3=9
9/15= 60% quality starts... 60%>57.9%
So... My point still stands...

He'll not waive and he can go cry to the NHLPA if the Leafs management try to pressure him. Players who waive there NMC are usually on crappy teams or cities, that's not the case with Toronto and Marner enjoys living/playing in the city.</div></div>
Toronto knows they aren't going to win with the core 4... They'll force Marner to give teams and get him to waive...

I find it hilarious, bc they trade Lilly, only to sign a more expensive version of him in FA...
I'd rather do a 1st for Chychrun or a 1st+prospect not named Minten, Cowan, Grebenkin or Niemela

Yeah, because overall season numbers don;t tell individual game stories. When you guys make a point, and it gets pushback, do you even think of it for one second or do you just plow through with the original take? We know you guys never watch the Blues, so where do you imagine you are getting all this insight from? Reading stats is not the same as knowing hockey players.</div></div>
ok, when was the last time Binnington had a stretch of games where he stole a few?
It's obvious Binnington's not consistent... and he hasn't proven he can steal games consistently or reliably...
Leafs pass, they don't need that Binnington contract either

Unholy Alliance Not Looking So Bad Now
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>westcoasthabslifer</b></div><div>This is 100% the best move either team could make. I’d only do this particular deal once Demidov is confirmed to be gone though, but I think it makes a ton of sense. Bet anything the leafs would love London Knight Sam Dickinson. I’d add maybe a little more if we could get their late first in return, so we’d just swap our firsts+. Then we could use the leafs and Winnipeg picks plus whatever else it takes (Matheson/Savard etc) to move into top 15 and get the guy we want anyways. I’d also be willing to make the Marner trade based around Savard and/or Matheson if they’d prefer.</div></div>
I don't see the Leafs moving their 1st in a deal with Marner without other stuff going the other way tbh...
But is interesting to think about... I think a trade like:
MTL 24 1st
Stubble
Mesar
Savard with 50% retention
COL 2nd
for
Marner
TOR 1st

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Saskleaf</b></div><div>Fair enough, I suppose it might be best to wait until we hear what actually happened to him before I judge him. I’m just annoyed because he’s never looked like a generational talent in the playoffs like he does in the regular season. Again, I’m not going to be disappointed when he’s a leafs next season. He’s a phenomenal player. We I don’t get how this crap is just always brushed off every year. He needs to be called out more.</div></div>
That's fair...
And BTW, I'm also giving Willy a pass for that series too for that same reason... I think Matthews was doing his best (6, 8 hits in 2 games is very good)... But where you play sick/injured, it's impossible to be generational

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>There’s a lot of hurdles:
1) the no trade clause
2) the AAV for a team to fit in
3) the rental vs extension question mark

5) the how much assets would it take and is it worth it</div></div>
1) Likely to teams with smaller markets or closer to home... Or to Vegas
2) it's the summer... teams hired guys to do cap gymnastics for a reason
3) If Marner waives to a team, there's going to likely be an extension
4) Marner makes most team better IMO... Most teams in need for skill, which is a lot of teams, would mean Marner would be a good fit
5) Basically a higher (6-12 range) draft pick or a younger defensemen with good upside or a good defensemen now... Basically a scenario where the Leafs could get a good defensemen with upside, then it depends what teams are offering on top of that, if they do
