Realistic offseason
There is nothing realistic about Boone Jenner being traded. The CBJ org is far too enamored with him. The only way that changes is if the team is sold and management is completely gutted so as to remove every major voice in the org that currently sees him as a lynchpin of the team's leadership group and culture.

I love how you slipped in a completely random Jensen trade there.

Marner doesn’t waive for Minnesota, don’t think they have the cap anyway. Stream of preposterous Marner trades continues 💪

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LAKANDTOR348</b></div><div>I dont mind your thinking Id just rather have Demelo- Matt Roy (and we dont have to pay anything for him) and 1 of Chatfield, Deshardians( From EDM, IDK how to spell that last name) or Hakappaa. in that order in pairs. Trade Lilly</div></div>
I think Roy would be the best add but also I think you have to see what you have on RD with Liljegren, Timmins and maybe Niemela. Add at the deadline likely for some muscle if they don't progress enough.
Really though a top 4 of
Rielly Roy
McCabe Liljegren
is loads better that what we have now. It would be nice if Timmins takes a big step and gets some luck with his health.
Benoit Timmins as the 3rd pair to start the year. They may surprise and gives you extra long term money available if you decide to make a trade in season.
I wouldn't be surprised if we added whatever version of physical 3rd pair defenceman are available at the deadline. Maybe something bigger if it makes sense.
Liljegren already has been playing top 4 minutes this season and while he has had his moments. He's been a good player and is getting better.
Adding another big ticket FA like Demello very well could be our next Brodie. I am very wary of defenceman around the 33-35 year old range. It's very often a major drop off.

Yeah I do. I would be good with a 2nd and Niemela for Laughton. Flyers would prefer picks over players and I don’t think Lily is worth it

Full offseason review
NSH declines unless Marner signs a contract as part of the deal. NSH isn't going to give Marner the contract he has reportedly been wanting and NSH has no incentive to trade their franchise goalie unless the player they are trading him for sticks around. NSH would probably offer him around what he is making now, which given tax is an increase because of the large tax discrepancy between TOR and NSH (according to https://hockey-graphs.com/2019/01/08/how-much-do-nhl-players-really-make-part-2-taxes/)
Askarov deserves ice time in NSH next year, and is likely close to ready, so NSH could reasonably trade Saros. But it all boils down to Marner signing a deal. If he is willing to sign, then I wouldn't be opposed to a deal like that getting worked out.

I’ve never said Marner is there to stay. I’ve said the trades that are posted on here for him are dumb, but never once said he wouldn’t waive - I’ve been on the other side saying I think it’s best for his own career to move on.

Realistic offseason but with a fun Marner trade to spice it up lol
On hell of an overpay, that's the type of package Matthews or Mackinnon would go for. Wright alone is already a lot for Seattle to give up and with how good he's looked I don't think they're gonna want to move him. Same with the 25'1st which will probably be top 15 again with their roster, Larson and Gourde could go for late 1sts on their own + the two 2nds. Marner on the open market would probably get A+ Prospect + roster player + 1st + 2nd. This is like that times 2
Edit: Everything else looks pretty good though!

Good Penalty killer and puts in 15-20ish a year but has like no physical play. Is that a good deal?</div></div>
Depends on other things first. I'm sure they'd like him, but there are other priorities. It's not impossible though.

I'm a fan of Bigger physical defensemen. Love Yanni Gourde and Robertson with his injury history is next to valueless. Is Nylander the best player in the trade? Yes ,but I'm not the biggest proponent of the team that gets the best player wins the trade theory. LA. got Gretzky, Edmonton got 2 more cups Edmonton W.

Most realistic offseason
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NJDevils1317</b></div><div>What's with all the Murray LTIR? Is he somehow actually out of all next year?</div></div>
Murray has an injury history along with a concussion history. He suffered a concussion before the end of the year and lets be real if he was healthy he would have been in game 5 and 6 for playoffs. Like Mike Smith it just takes one failed physical and its off to LTIR and I got a feeling thats whats gonna happen
As if not why didnt they just do what they did with Chicago last year (Murray + 28OA for 35 OA). Chicago just bought out Bailey and before wanted another 1st well move 7 spots up and do the buyout and they could have got the 28OA pick.

Leafs Medium Moves IN Tiffoli Anderson C Brown
That Calgary trade isn't close. Calgary has zero interest in trading Rasmus Andersson. It would have to be as massive overpayment. The 1st you sent converts Toffoli, the rest isn't close enough for them to want to move Andersson.

Read Description
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LAKANDTOR348</b></div><div>I mostly want that big guy defensive minded for Rielly bc if you think about his best play has been with Ron Hainsey bc he was so good defensively and Schenn was a beast with him in the 1st rd but realistically he won't be good enough to play all year on the top line lol. So that's why I want a guy like that. So if you guys have any names please comment. Cheaper the better ofc and what's the price. Or do you think Mayfield could be that guy?</div></div>
If you want a guy that would compliment Rielly then Mayfield would be a good short-term option (he's already 30). But it's important to note that Rielly isn't a true #1 guy and trying to force him into that role because he's "supposed" to be that guy isn't a good idea.

Roast me
I think that Arvidsson and a pick or Iafallo straight up for Ullmark is a workable idea.
Exchanging Iafallo for Crouse just so the latter can play on his off side doesn't seem like an upgrade to me, especially at the additional cost of Durzi (despite the 100% gain in term).
I'd MUCH rather have Lizotte than Eyssimont, even though the latter seems to be maturing well. Also, I don't think that Tampa is likely to give up a player who may be the best value economically on their team.

What should a Marner to LAK trade look like
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mauston_atthews</b></div><div>Marner is an elite playmaking selke nominated winger. I guess you wouldn’t want that playing with 40 goal kempe and sniper fiala. The kings have a lot of assets and cap space to afford a move like this</div></div>
They have a lot of assets, but they also have a lot of quality wingers. Their biggest need is a successor for Kopitar, a new goalie or a new left d man. Marner is none of those things.

Stop Trading the Core
Respectfully disagree. Florida made a blockbuster move in the summer after getting swept in the 2nd round after ending their 1st round drought. Now they are almost guaranteed a spot in the conference finals, and its not like it was an easy road to get there. They had to go through the best regular season team in NHL history and a Toronto team that beat the team who went to 3 straight Stanley cup finals.
You cannot expect different results from a team that has failed time and time again. There needs to be a big move this offseason. Its about time.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>exo2769</b></div><div>If you get reasonable people on here that agree...why shouldn't it be called a movement? I'm sure there can be minor variations to this. No one knows what the EXACT trade will be, but in general...I like it too.</div></div>
Hahaha yea I’d really be happy with that trade those are 3 very beneficial picks for us that would instantly be a boost to our prospect pool. Also I’d rather have 3 chances to hit on 1 A prospect than a 50/50 at 14th OA. (Maybe it’s more 60/40 then 50/50 in this case but still, u get the idea lol.)
