<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Juice</b></div><div>well...that would be very short sighted then....trading a 22yr old winger with tons of promise straight up for a 28yr old defenceman with only one more year left on his deal and the likelihood that he'll be looking for a big deal at 30yrs old as a renewal...one which the Leafs likely wouldn't be able to accommodate. But sure...I'm absurd for thinking further than 1.5 years out.

Jakub Vorachek
Nathan MacKinnon
Jack Eichel
Corey Perry
Mark Scheifele
Nikita Kucherov
Matt Duchene

and many others.....know what they have in common? They put up similar stats to Nylander over their first 3 years. Would you trade any of them in their early 20s for 1.3 seasons of a vet #1 d-man?

I think Pietrangelo is fantastic...don't get me wrong...but you're hating on the Leafs/Nylander without any credible insight to back you up

You are once again proving your inability to comprehend simple english here. I thought I spelled it out for you in my last post but I guess not....

I am not comparing any of Nylander, Murray, Laine to each other....I'm using your trash opinion of Nylander and showing you how ridiculous it looks if you apply the same logic to other players. If you don't like Nylander...that's fine, nobody here needs you to. But if you want to go spout off about how other people's opinions are absurd...I'll hold the mirror up so you can see how your theory looks when applied to other players.

Anything else? I'm guessing the next reply probably misses the point again and will ramble on about how I know think Nylander is as valuable as MacKinnon.</div></div>

You compared trading 3 different players that did or are going through a rough patch. It's incomparable to show Murray/Laine going through rough patch (the latter being injured as well) and what their trade value is (not to mention the different position/skill set and that nobody even fathomed moving them) than to a young player who just got paid. And for every player you mentioned there's 100 that don't pan out. On top of the, I'm willing to bet the aforementioned list you compiled never had a season (surrounded by as much talent as Nylander to boot) where they averaged .33 points per game (time will tell on that one)... But once again, godspeed if you think Nylander and a 2nd nets you Pietrangelo. Not sure why you even want to trade your superstar young talent for a rental, but that's a different topic.
