He doesn't want to move his family. So playing local is ok. After July 1st , his bonus is payed. So his contract after that is 2mil this year & 4mil next, total of 6mil over 2 years. But a cap hit of 11 mil.

Smart guy, the deal will never happen , just in your head. This guy is so good, they put him on the third line, of a CUP team. But yes on your team, could be on your first line.
We have him on a great contact, and can move him up. OR trade him. But he will never be moved just for CAP space.

Hyman (Coming off LTIR), Matthews & Marner. Foligno (CV19 protocol), Tavares, Nylander.
Mikheyev, Kerfoot, Nash (Coming off LTIR). Thornton, Spezza, Simmonds. Extra’s: Galchenyuk, Engvall & Brooks.
Reilly & Brodie, Mussin & Holl, Sandin & Bogosian. Extra’s: Dermott & Ben Hutton.
Campbell & Freddy also (Coming off LTIR) . Extra’s: Rittich & Hutch.
2022 Playoffs projected to start with this lineup.
Bunting, Matthews, Marner. Kase (coming off LTIR), Tavares, Nylander. Mikheyev, Kampf, Kerfoot.
Simmonds, Blackwell & Engvall. Extra’s : Spezza, Clifford & insert (Marlies name here).
Reilly & Brodie, Mussin & Holl, Gio & Lyubushkin. Extra’s: Sandin & Lilegren.
Campbell & Kallgren! Mrazek – Out for the 1st Round (LTIR) , Extra’s: Carter Hutton & Joseph Woll.
Players out from last year: Hyman, Foligno, Nash, Thornton, Galchenuk & Brooks. Dermott, Bogosian, Rittich & Freddy.
So lets say we have the same injuries in the 1st round this year. 2 top 9 FWD & a top 4 d man.
So I’m gonna pick Mussin & Kase & Mikhevev. Just based on past Injuries.
I feel better about moving up Kerfoot, Kampf, Blackwood & Engvall. Then having Spezza, Simmonds & Somebody else on the 4th line. Then what we had available last year.
On the back end: if Mussin does go down for a 3rd time, now there are plenty of options.
If they lose any RHD Liilegren jumps in, LHD drops Sandin jumps in, & the Brodie factor (he can play both sides) No longer need to be worried that we lose a top 4 D & hoping that Dermott or Bogo can jump up & eat up those bigger minutes.
But if this year they target Campbell & he goes down, the back up plan is… what?
Kallgren, Carter Hutton, Woll, Hutch & Mrazek (after the 1st round)
Any option just means, that’s it GAME OVER!

Sujet: TML roster today if they didnt sign JT

If JT isn't here, just allows the team to spread the money around. They had the fire power up front & needed better d man. Once they signed JT , Kadri became the third line centre. He got traded to upgrade the defense. They tried to trade him to the flames for TJ, but naz said no, so they tried with barrie. That worked out well, NOT. Then bring in the toughness, Trade for Clifford, sign Richie. Just a thought !

Sujet: Muzzin has been extended according to TSN

Next year, You have Rielly, Holl & Marincin under contracts. You need both offence and shut down defenceman. On the left side Rielly can do both, Sandin has the offensive talent and needs to work on the defensive side of his game. Marincin is the spare part. So you need the shut down guy Dermott couldn't do it when muzzin was hurt and hasnt showed much as of yet. On the right side you have Holl who can play the shut down roll, Lilegren like Sandin is young and has the offensive talent and needs to work on the defensive side. They still need a RHD that can do both like Reilly.

Listen guys just working with numbers. Last year the hurricanes took on a player for 1 season with a 6 million dollar contact for a 6th round draft pick.
So i used the same trade keeping in mind this is a younger player. So first off i have to give back your 6th rounder for the cash part off the trade.
Now lets deal with the youth side, So i will trade a 23 year old Kappy, on a 2 year deal for a 26 year old Hamilton on a 1 year deal if you retain 2.5 mil.
Fair is fair!

So your idea of improvement is, Let's let all the UFA contacts go. Now lets take all that cap space, Give all the RFA's a raise, and see whats left over. Ok re sign mussin. and get a new back up goalie? And still have no cap space! Wow, So i have this years team minus the vets and some marlies players with a new b/u goalie! Bravo!!!!!!!!!

Listen my friend, managers don't speak as fans, I'm telling you as a general manager, that the numbers add up! Put up all yer fan details you want . But Management feels different!

I see your point of view. But have you ever been to a game there? NO fans Front row if you want. i dont want to rip them off , i want to help them.
The owner has no choice but to try and save money and still build excitement. They dont care about defence , goals puts fans in the seats!
