He can do both, heck can even RW if you need him to

Last year he was the 3c with Hyman and Mikheyev for a while when Keefe was making a pestering line. It worked well when used.

But man in one season he went from inconsistent to SH weapon

completely random thought - does a goalie's SV% get affected if they score a goal?
if a goalie has a 1 SV%, it means they didnt let any goals in
what if they didn't let any goals in, but scored a goal as well
would that be 2 SV%?
or, in the case of this acgm (its a typo probably, saying if samsonov gets a 915 SV%), would the goalie have saved everything, and gotten 915 goals on top of that?

Save percentage is relative to how many shots you save. It doesn't matter how many shots your team (or you, the goalie) gets.
