Retooling - Not a Habs Fan so dont kill me
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lenny7</b></div><div>Great job!
Don’t see the Avs moving out Byram (maybe they would?), but I could see something centred around Timmins, a prospect and a higher pick?
I don’t hate the Winnipeg one, but I guess it’ll depend on Buff.</div></div>
To me Hall was worth more than gallagher, if hall + signing wasnt worth byram, i don't see how gallagher can be. I know hall wouldnt negotiate, but col has to be the obvious front runner, and in a scenario where he does extend, i still believe byram was off the table
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dach</b></div><div>Not trying to kill you, but anyone who even knows a little bit about prospects knows that these trades are absolutely horrible</div></div>

Just drafted 4th overall.....this site October to January Avs are going to trade him in every possible rental or deadline type deal possible
Just dumb</div></div>

Palm Vat Simm
thats a tough palmieri trade
if you look at value, hes good, has term, good cap hit.
Comparatively the other winger on the market is kreider, I think its safe to say I'd prefer palms so in a bidding far itd prob be first + for palms, without cap relief

If Bettman rigs the draft like he did for Toronto with Matthews
there isnt any rigging - its the best lottery system out there, some teams are lucky some are not. Oilers are lucky, devils are Unlucky? lucky? idk, colorado is lucky, they win mackinnon, lose patrick hughes for makar byram?
Its luck of the draw as it should be, no place for tanking the constant parity is what makes the nhl great

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wings41326</b></div><div>Sami will get NJ a second rounder most def. (To The Highest Bidder). Heard that Edm was in phase 2 talks with NJ for Vat but also inquired about another player from NJ. So this is just my guess placing Wood into the trade. I think NJ wouldn't be opposed to just a straight pick for Vat but if Edm is asking for another person, esp a roster player, youd have to think NJ would want a roster player back. Hence my decision for Puj. Low -Risk, High - Reward.
Maybe you can even add a contingency to the pick. i.e. 4th becomes 3rd if Edm wins playoff round. 3rd to 2nd if makes Stanley cup final</div></div>
yeah no and im not speculating on whether your value is right or wrong or whatever. I personally just don't like that trade for nj. If shero did it I would not be happy lol

But everyone always overrates the value of top 10 first round picks especially before they're drafted.</div></div>

Well if they get a 1st for jsp, maybe they do this, but keep their own 1st, then you have two tkachuks and a top 3...not terrible

i would be so mad if wood gets dealt - people need to realize how much offense wood creates and how high his potential is if he orders some new hands lol
also vatanen for this is so underwhelming, its just a bad trade imo i would rather a straight first round pick for sami than this
but certainly not wood and sami

idk, is the devils with hughes hischier and lafreniere as lame as the penguins getting fluery crosby and malkin (#2)
or even the avs getting landeskog #2 mackinnon makar #4 byram #4
I personally hate tanking, but I think Mackinnon and crosby alone are worth more lol

You wont get that offer from NJ imo. They were in position to get miller had they wanted him over the summer as a cap dump more or less. Boqvist is a top 2 prospect in our system if you even still consider him one. hughes (not a prospect), smith, boqvist (maybe not a prospect)

I would think they go for a defenseman, I just don't know if a d man is worth 2nd overall (literally do not know, nothing against the top d kids)
Isn't there also a chance lafreniere doesn't go first? Isn't the proj. #2 also filthy?

Player A vs Player B
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ThatGuy</b></div><div>I think you nailed most of them.
Drysdale is the one that's a little off for me. I look at him play and he reminds me of a Chabot type player, or maybe closer to a Makar. Elite skater, great first pass, can skate with the puck and run a powerplay. This guy is going to be a hell of a player.</div></div>
Without shredding me, can someone give me a comparison between lafreniere and hughes? From what I've seen and my own general knowledge, different positions and different types of players. Is one more valuable than the other? Higher Ceiling? Would NJ have been better served winning the lottery this year?

Where Does Hall Finally Land and By When
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TradeBait2019</b></div><div>Idk why, but I have a feeling its St. Louis.
They have a deep prospect pool and Defence is their strength right now. They aren't paying a ton for their top guys to they can re-sign him this off-season too
It just makes so much sense</div></div>
See I can tell ou he'll wind up in NJ. Isn't it obvious. Zacha signed in the KHL, Shero ripped him and said he doesnt care. Zacha signs.
Ray sat Hall and leaked trade rumors to show Hall he's serious. The team played easily their best 2 games of the season without him. You can say a lot and speculate about his play this season, but I do believe he cares and I do believe he does not want to be scratched. So my theory is, all of a suddent the market is drying up. Is it? or did ray price himself out so that he can keep hall and motivate him by basically saying we are getting a return so if you like your teammates and playing with jack and nico, we are getting better. But also we traded larsson for you, and noone will give us their top prospect for you.
He draws back in wed, the team gets a coveted two win streak. The mojo gets flowing, we win 5 before the new year. We finish the season 34-12-4 for the remaining 50. Resign hall mid season, 8x9 because ray showed him crosby and mackinnon. make playoffs. Fans stop ripping the team. All is right.
Boom.
