Working Is Overrated Pt 2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac555</b></div><div>I think if both VAN/CAR are given the option to talk contract with the RFAs, and talks are positive - I think this makes a ton of sense for both teams. However, I think both teams are going to be uneasy with the players contract requests.</div></div>
What is your thought on Necas' number? Also what do you think of his transition game? Canucks need more help with controlled zone entries.

Always down to hear realistic insight from other markets. As a west coast fan, I admit I am not as well versed on these guys as you. Just hear the same rumblings the rest of the league hears.

Working Is Overrated
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Mediumyeet</b></div><div>Way tooo much for Vancouver to give up. I like Necas, there is a ton of skill and potential there but he is also a flawed player that has averaged 57pts per 82 games the last 3 season and sounds like he wants 7+ mil.
I'm all for acquiring him but Canes fans acting like they have Jack Eichel as an asset here.</div></div>
I would agree 100% here man. I wouldn't mind losing those pieces and hoping to get a fresh start for Necas. Love me some Nils but their window is the next 3 years with Hughes under a cheap contract. Is Nils going to rise his stock that much to have a line that any team would struggle to shut down? I'm not so sure of that. After watching the 2nd half and playoffs, offensive firepower is exactly what Vancouver needs.

Buddy save it. That trade is horrible

Bridge Deal for Hronek
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>djmacsalad</b></div><div>Hronek has arb rights to he will get a lot more than 5.8x2. Buying out Mikheyev will save more money and we can keep our 2nd. Zadorov and Blueger probably take those deals. Lindholm might try free agency if thats the offer we give but he might sign.</div></div>
I wouldn't pay him over 6. Trade his rights if that's what he wants. Not good enough below the dots. Not big enough or good enough skater to make the plays required.

Who is taking him? He's a PKer who is overpaid by 2.5 million. Afraid nobody takes him on.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Celtics21</b></div><div>There is an age consideration here as well. I personally prefer Hronek to Myers, Zadarov even when you discuss salary, but I haven’t watched him as much as you have.
I think Boston is going to offer Lindholm 7 years, 8.5M AAV to entice him. I’d be surprised if Lindholm took less before FA.</div></div>
I could see that happening. I would match if I was Vancouver. Skip a similar move to Duclair signing and let Lindy/Petey play together. Maybe re-sign Blueger then? Lindy fits Tocchet's team so well and was huge down the stretch. Don't think you can afford to lose him.

With that said, if that’s all that it costs to acquire Hronek (it’s not), I’d like to think PIT accepts and then trades Karlsson.
However, none of that is happening. VAN should resign Hronek. If not, a team out there would certainly pay more to acquire him.</div></div>
I'd take more for sure! Just want this defense by any means necessary. Save the money to round out a struggling top 6.

I think he probably is worth more too, but I admit fair trades are tough for me to evaluate. Just threw the trade in to round out the defense I'd like to see.

He struggled down the stretch offensively and was too easily beaten below the dots. I'd like to see the length of guys like Myers, Zadorov, Soucy be the staples of this defense. That is key to shutting down guys like McDavid and MacKinnon. Tanev can fill Hronek's role offensively and add help more on the defensive side of the puck.

Thanks! And I would probably agree. I admit the trade was just more of a formality because it's really hard for me to judge any trade in here accurately. I would prefer the defense I set up which is why I mocked a trade for him. More picks would definitely help in the system so I would be happy to have picks back.
