I guess you also forgot how smart of an idea it was to trade for Calvin De Haan.
Trade Schmaltz for Perlini and Strome how'd that work out?
How about Saad for Panarin? You guys liking Saad oh wait he isn't there anymore.
Tuevo Teravainen to Carolina for a couple of picks that never panned out. So please you wanna say Toronto is dumb I could go back into the deep pull of Chicago's idiot trading over 6 years.</div></div>
And we did all of those bad things and still ended up winning 3 cups. Compared to Toronto who hasn’t made it past the first round in almost 20 years. And hasn’t won the Stanley cup in over 50

Funny how you don't talk about how he let kadri go and he goes on to be a huge contributor to win the cup. Or how he gave away Seth Jarvis. Or how he trades a first plus for Foligno just to not even win a round. Or trade 2 seconds for for a defender just to not make it past the first round.

Dubas was the one that made the trade sending the 13th overall pick (being Seth Jarvis), because he can't build a good team. You can't lie, when Chicago had prime Kane, he had a good team around him and won many cups. But when Dubas gets Matthews he can't build a roster that makes it past the first round. Sucks for you because I doubt you've seen your team win a playoff series LMAO. And who are you calling an absolute tool. Your name is literally Make Marner a Centre.

If there is no difference between 25-38, why are a lot of people saying it's a fair trade, then chicago wins the trade instead of Toronto fleeceing Chicago. https://www.capfriendly.com/forums/thread/609500

William Eklund of the sharks alone is better than all of Toronto's prospects. Toronto doesn't have a top top prospect. Most of their prospect will be NHLers but not anything special like many other teams have. You're the reason why people wonder why Toronto has the most annoying fan base. You don't know anything about other teams and your are severely overatering mid-prospects.

LMAO the fact that you said the Leafs have a better prospect pool then the devils means you don't know anything about other teams. The devils EASILY have a better prospect pool. Dawson Mercer just went to the NHL and they still have Alexander Holtz, Luke Hughes and Nolan Foote. Holtz alone is worth waaaaay more then any prospect Toronto has.

Roni hirvonen, Rodian Amirov, 2023 first unprotected, 2024 first unprotected, niemela, and that’s just a start. Likely would have to include a roster player as well, liljegren is probably that piece. Not to mention this screws the leafs future and they still won’t make it out of the first round, second round if they are lucky. Cat is not the piece for the leafs, they already have an abnormally high amount of forwards over 10 mil and cat will demand at least 10 in Canada based on taxes</div></div>

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hurricanes73</b></div><div>As a fan of neither the hawks or the devils, the 2nd alone should be plenty fair. I’d only start adding after the 4th pick for cat. I know the hawks want a kings ransom for cat but the second pick alone is a kings ransom. Could be wright if they are lucky, slafkovsky most likely, and Cooley if they really like him. Trading this years pick for jones was awful because it makes the need for a top pick in the draft higher. Anything more than the second pick and young roster player and the devils are losing that trade. Claiming the 2nd pick plus kuokkanen isn’t enough for cat is just being delusional. I’m sure whoever is drafted at 2 and is properly developed will be better than cat within 5 years. Not to mention all the extra stuff the hawks got in this mock team.</div></div>
I wouldn’t trade debrincat for any one player in this draft

Kane is possibly traded, toews could be gone too. They have to reacquire assets after the jones trade where they essentially gave up 3 top 12 picks for him😬😬😬. While Chicago doesn’t have to trade cat it is in their best interest to do so. He’s a young 40 goal scorer and arguably the most valuable asset on the team. Why waste his prime years in Chicago losing for the foreseeable future when he can go to a team that needs him and has the resources get him. Tbh if they don’t trade cat by the draft I see this blowing up hard in the hawks face</div></div>

They traded for one year of Glaude Giroux. And Debrincat should get more than Eichel. Eichel didn't want to be in Buffalo anymore and has a neck injury. Chicago doesn't have to trade Debrincat
