Two trades to do
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ChytilMania</b></div><div>Kevan Miller is not someone Jeff Gorton would be interested in. If I were him, I wouldn’t trade Kreider to the Bruins without either Carlo or Urho Vaakananien in return.</div></div>
? He's very, very comparable to Adam McQuaid who he traded for last season then shipped out. It makes sense for him to do the same thing this year if he needs an extra D because they can sell him at the deadline.
As far as the first trade goes: I like it, I've done the exact trade in one of my own mocks.
The second trade doesn't make much sense for New York. I think if they trade for Miller they are giving up a 4th and 7th like they did McQuaid and then they get it back at the deadline. I don't think they trade Kreider for a package of 2nd round picks and prospects, they need something high end for him.

It only hurts if they were going to use it on something else lmao. How do people think having a higher cap hurts a team if they aren't going to be a playoff team and aren't going to buy rentals..... thats probably one of the dumbest misconceptions on here. The "REAL MONEY" is what counts because it actually has to be paid. If your team isn't in the market for a rental then you don't need room at the deadline lmao.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>I just don't know where you get this stuff at. As someone who played Defense, let me tell you. That crap is a total myth made of people who never laced up.
Let me just put that to end period. How many 18-19 year old defense men you need to see to figure that out. Go tell me McAvoy needed "longer to develop" It's like any other position on the ice. You either have it or you don't. Believe me when I was playing in the NCAA no one was sitting around saying, oh don't worry you guys take longer to develop. That's the biggest bunch of crap ever. Like any sport you learn your position. You are either good at it or you aren't. The only position that has any excuse for taking longer to develop is goalie. And that's because it's hard to find someone to coach it effectively on top of the actual biological factors like bone growing faster than muscle in their teen years. AKA they aren't flexible enough yet.
and by the way, I'd say a 4th liner dumping in 6-7 goals in 30 some game is a pretty nice asset to have. Especially when teams lack secondary scoring.</div></div>
Hey <a href="/users/Pharrow" target="_blank">@Pharrow</a> here is the thread about you talking about how 21 year old defensemen not in the NHL have no value lol. I like how you reference your "own career" and how they aren't flexible enough yet lol. Stupid ass concepts and People who are 22 and not in the NHL yet still have value bro. Happy Day to you!

GAME 4
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>nice made up story. You should keep writing fairy tales.</div></div>
It's actually true and this is just as bad a take. "The only way the (Bruins) will win is gooning it up like they did in game 2." If you're literally stupid enough to think you can make over-generalizations like that it's kind of obvious it must happen a lot and it does. The biggest thing I know is that anyone stupid enough to go on a "The only way a team can win is to do (insert a stupid idea here)" rant is someone who likes to be proven wrong. Nobody would have guessed CLB would be up on Tampa Bay but only a moron would have said a phrase like that.
Be prepared to eat your words bro because the Bruins can win this series but playing better defense, having better Goaltending or even outscoring Toronto among other things so only an idiot would make a suggestion like you made. Bottom line is you're going to be proven wrong more often than not if you go that route so be prepared big guy.

it's only 2 years and he's paid 4M in real money each year. If he's traded after his bonus; it'd be 5M dollars over 2 seasons in actual money. That's nothing alike to what you're insinuating and his value isn't nearly as low as you think.

Whoever suggests Carey Price is the best goalie after finishing outside the top 10 in GAA and Save% is a total fool. Factor in his terrible contract and he really shouldn't be worth a fortune. This is a nice way of saying "you're stuck with him" and "Enjoy purgatory because you'll never be bad enough to get the top picks and your team won't be good enough to contend for a cup without them lol"

Backes fires
Last time I checked Nate Thompson sucked, so no, there really isn't any way I'd do this. Maybe Backes and a 2nd, but no 1st. He's owed less money than his cap hit so there isn't any way it'd cost a 1st + 2nd to move him. That'd only be if he was being paid the full 6M both years in real dollars, which he isn't. Plus Boston wouldn't trade with Montreal on a deal like this. Why help their rebuild?

Idk about that minny trade but it doesn't look that bad. other than that Carlo deal. 3 by 3 would be perfect.</div></div>
I like a 6 year deal with Carlo even if it was for 4M per. I'd like to lock him in because he really looks like he's found his game. I feel like 6 years is a good compromise between 8 years and 3 years and the money is in the middle as well.
Puljujarvi is very low risk in this situation. If the Bruins had to give up something of value I'd look elsewhere, but if all they're asking for is a #4 RHD and a project forward I think it's worth the risk. The point in the trade was basically "these two assets are being moved..... what can i package them together for and who has a need for these types of players?" Edmonton looked like a potential fit to me if they move Larsson for a forward which I think they'd be smart to do.

About Puljujärvi, its low risk, high reward type of signing. But he's as far as you can go from "Boston-style-of-game". But we can give him a try.
Maybe put Pulju to the first line next to Brad and Bergy to learn from the best.</div></div>
That's not a bad idea if you're suggesting moving Pasta to line 2 and Coyle to line 3. Coyle would help Studnicka more defensively, so I see a match there. I put Heinen on the line because I think he's got good defensive instincts and positioning, but having Coyle on the other wing would do nothing but help Studnicka's development as well.

If the Rangers trade Kreider but dont get Panarin
This defense looks like a cakewalk to play against. I'd classify Hamilton, Shattenkirk and Deangelo as "Soft" offensive Dmen and I haven't seen enough of Fox or Hajek to pass judgement on them. Hamilton, Shattenkirk and Deangelo have all been a trainwreck at times making poor decisions, so to collect them all seems like a crappy fit to me.

This is basically a bag 'o crap offer. Whats the point in trading Hall if thats all they get? Heinen regressed this year and Zboril looked like crap in his 2 game audition, Ryan Fitzgerald has no speed for his size and Kevan Miller is a UFA in a year and holds the value of like a 4th round pick like McQuaid had this year. If that is the top offer they might as well just wait until the deadline when someone will offer more for him as a rental.

Bruins
The problem with spending to the cap is that you have players to resign the following season. Letting Krug and Coyle walk would be foolish unless they are asking for more money than they are worth. There isn't really all that much money coming off the books aside from Kevan Miller because Chara has a 1.75M incentive that would probably be on the following seasons cap as bonus overages, Halak's replacement will likely cost a similar amount and letting Wagner / Nordstrom walk won't really save very much. Add in the fact DeBrusk and Grzelcyk need raises and it seems very unlikely the Bruins would sign Nyquist and Maroon and if I'm Nyquist why would I sign a 3 year deal in the first place? If Louie Eriksson can get a 6 year deal in his 30's than Nyquist should be able to get atleast 5 years.
