in all reality this make Edmonton 100% worse, Which is why it's great for Montreal.

Honestly every fan base does this when there is a big thing happening with players. Learn to look at who is posting the AGM first before getting triggered. More than 90% of the AGM's on here are garbage and it isn't just the MTL ones.

Clearly you didn't read the explanation in either of those trades. But I do get your point about the fan base over valuing their own players. Problem is once you start trading assets for your teams core players, you lose yourself. TOR for the last IDK 10 years traded for their stars (Kessel, Phaneuf, Bernier, Lupul, etc) to never make the playoffs. Great team draft develop and retool, try and name one Stanley cup team in the last 15 years that traded for their number one C.
