No way. That goaltending is going to get them rekt. Tavares is better than Matthews. Offense just bails out Anderson everytime, not going to win them a cup by relying on luck like that.

Lol Haters are going to hate. Not bad, I don't think Tavares signs for 1 year but its not stupid to think that he signs in Toronto.

If (and I HIGHLY doubt he would) Tavare Signed a one year deal, it wouldn’t be for less than he will make on a multi-year Deal. One year deal? Talking about 12+

You just contradicted yourself. It impossible cap wise for JT to sign long term with the Leafs, unless he takes a huge discount, which he would not do.

u might as well trade polak for karlsson and trade andersen for a bag of pucks, then acquire kapenen for ovechkin, and trade pickard for holtby. ez cup champs.

Actually there were reports that the Leafs could try to land JT to a one year heavy deal. They have a one year window to use that cap space to try to win a cup before AM and MM get contract extensions. They also need to upgrade their D though frown

I actually think this could be a possibility and I am not alone. I believe Elliot Friedman stated the same thing not too long ago.

Tavares risks his long term financial security and future generations with a one year deal? C'mon man.

what does this have to do with McDavid? Tavares is a free agent and considering the cap space the Leafs have it is very legitimate the he could sign in Toronto. All of the hockey insiders have talked about this. get a clue

true the money might be higher, but the Leafs have the cap space for it. Also Stamkos signed long term for 8.5 mill so its not out of the question that Tavares takes less to go into a winning situation.

WTF are you talking about? this is the same Leafs roster as today except for a free agent signing. Moron!

there are no crazy trades introduced here.

yes, for sure they have to upgrade on defense. But as you can see with my team proposal, the Leafs still have 7+mill in cap space to do that.

Get real man no way is Tavares signing a one year deal with the Leafs not when there's going to be a major bidding war on him next summer if he manages to hit UFA. Even if he were to do that it doesn't guarantee the Leafs a cup.

When has a player like John Tavares ever signed a one year deal with a team for a cup chance? The answer is 0 it's never happened and it wont with Tavares either.

To answer your question. Yes. Again I just asked if Tavares would risk 80m for a one time 10m contract. But the question was too complex for your to answer so you refer to name calling. Get your mum to read you the question, so maybe you can understand it.
And yes I have original ideas. But obvious by your post, you don't. Some would just call you a silly homer. But I don't, you're just a moron.
