Sort of. In this game, players with NTCs can be moved once throughout the duration of their contract. If the player has a NMC + M-NTC, the M-NTC takes precedence, allowing the player to be traded.

Just NMC: Cannot be traded
NMC + M-NTC: Can be traded (just once)
Just NTC or just M-NTC: Can be traded (just once)

I believe Kapanen might be involved in another deal so hes unavailable ATM. What would a deal that doesnt involve Kapanen look like?

I would need something else instead do it then. The drop from Josi to Rielly is pretty dramatic, so he'd probably be a necessity. Unless you wan't me to add something small?

I believe Kapanen might be involved in another deal so hes unavailable ATM. What would a deal that doesnt involve Kapanen look like?

I know you said you were unwilling to part with a first round pick, but that may be necessary to get it done. Either that or Grundstrom + something else. Even then I might not do it
