Hello, responding to you from your post in my thread. Nobody on your team interests me for Spooner except Patrick Maroon who you said is unavailable because he's resigned. I don't think there is a trade to be made here.

I will act like a fish and bite your hook in the name of knowledge in terms of Henrique. What are you looking for in exchange for him? I'm not willing to overpay, but he would be an upgrade for my 3rd C spot.

Not sure, I really can't make a deal until I find out about other players that I'd want more. I meant that I might have interest in him at some point, not that I want to make a deal right now.
1) If Henrique is retained then I expect a 2018 1st+.
2) No, Ward is a current starter and Subban is and will always be a backup.
3) Read 1 and 2.
I think that's overvaluing Ward by a healthy margin. 1/4th a year of Cam Ward being worth more than as many years as you want of Malcolm Subban even if your crystal ball is telling you the truth that he'll just be a backup is insane. Ward's likely a backup too next season and no-one in their right mind would trade for Ward to be their starter unless they were tanking. He's 34 and has one .910 Save % year the last 6 seasons lol.

In all seriousness, yes Ward is on an expiring contract and may not re-sign with Carolina and go be a backup somewhere else but he still would probably get more games then Subban even though the age difference. I do value Ward higher then Subban but that's just because Subban was a waiver claim and the way he has performed this season could be a fluke.

He was a waiver claim because we, Boston, thought we could sneak him through and have him in the AHL playing games lol. He rightfully got poached from us and has been doing great in Vegas. We got screwed over because we lost Subban + Collin Miller to Vegas which probably adds up to nearly the most anyone lost who didn't give up a 1st rounder to protect players. They're both good assets that we were hoping to keep or at the worst lose one of them.

Minnesota lost Erik Haula and Alex Tuch, Florida lost Reilly Smith and Jonathan Marchessault, Columbus lost William Karlsson, and Pittsburgh lost Marc-Andre Fluery. Those teams lost more to Vegas then Boston did.

I don't buy Minnesota or Florida because they made deals and if they didn't they would have only lost 1 player. William Karlsson turned out to be great, but Collin Miller had more value than him at the time of the expansion draft imo. Fleury obviously had more value, but he's 33 and Pittsburg didn't even lose anything by him leaving. They're #1 in the Metro without him. I shouldn't have written 1st round pick I should have written trades in general. We didn't make a deal, yet we somehow lost more than 1 piece.... that's all I was getting at. We lost twice as much value as we should have.
I'll take back any cap dumps you want if you give me picks and prospects back.
He's an interesting player but he doesn't really fit the bill for what we need. He may be left-handed but he plays on the right side which we are all set on.
