It's a handedness thing, so would you do something around Scott Mayfield?
I'd prefer not to move him but it all depends on what the offer would be. Mayfield is hurt yet, he still has 2 less points then Forbort whom has played top line minutes and Mayfield plays mainly on the 3rd line so both could be close to comparison in my opinion, the only difference is that Forbort has a better chance at being a permanent top 4 player.

Forbort isn't an offensive dman, though. He also didn't get moved back with Doughty until recently.
We can get other defenceman around the same level as Claesson for a late round pick, and I don't think you would bring your price that low.
Now that you're here, what prospect would interest you in addition to Burakovsky for Brassard? Take a look at our description for a complete list of prospects.
Any interest in Robin Lehner in a Markstrom + Soderstrom deal? I may want another pick or two, Soderstrom hasn't played all that well this season, which is a bit of a turn off.

No thanks, Lehner to me is almost a downgrade. Also, everyone has down years, doesn't mean that there value decreases. Would a Ward for Grubauer deal interest you?

Not particularly. Grubauer has starter potential, while Ward is simply an old backup goalie.

Ward has killed the Scott Darling experiment in Carolina and has taken over the starting position again...plus he's only 33, isn't as old as people make him to be

Booth, you can't fleece me like you used to fleece everybody else. There is no way that you can twist this into making sense for me.

I was only correcting your original statement. You said that Ward is an old backup, when he has actually taken over the starter position recently and is only 33. Those are facts, feel free to do some research into that, it's not like I'm lying. Thanks though

Just because he's taken the starter's position doesn't mean he's starter-material. A .908 SV% and a 2.71 GAA aren't starter's numbers bud. And yeah, he's 33 right now. He'll be 34 in 2 days (yeah, poor dude was born on February 29) and he's on an expiring contract. Grubauer on the other hand is the better of the two, plus he's younger, cheaper and more controllable. Zero incentive for me to do something like this.

I never made the offer nor pushed you to do it...it's understandable if you don't want to do a deal like that

Sorry if I sound like a complete and utter douche (pardon my french) but hasn't Ward been Carolina's starter for the past 12 seasons (with 1 stanley cup I might add) or am I missing something?

Kari Lehtonen was Dallas’ starter for a long time, that doesn’t mean a damn thing. His Cup run was 12 years ago, things change

Bellows maybe? Or maybe Comtois? I'll need to think about it though.
