Now obviously this is so hypothetical and other moves would've 100% been made or not have been made due to the butterfly effect but chirelli made some key mistakes that costed the oilers a lot of quality players

      Flames acquired Hamilton instead of EDM because they had one spot higher pick than EDM. If I'm chirelli i offer a surplus of picks to get the RHD that this team desperately needs and not trade for griffin reinhart... that was a huge blunder. EDM was very much in on Hamilton and lost by a hair to Calgary. They could've made it work with an extra pick somewhere

          1. Hall wanted to be the star he wasnt allowed because McDavid's the star. Also Oil neesed a RHD badly.
          2.Eberle is good at getting points and nothing else, he cant get it out if the defensive zone ever and is afraid to go into corners.
          3. Lucic brings size, something that the Oilers havent had in YEARS
          4. Totally agree, worst trade in like last 10 years
          5. Guess having another RHD instead of Russell would've nice. But Russell blocks shots

          Nice ideas and it shows how good the Oil could be, but if you have followed the Oilers over the decade of darkness you would know why the trades happened. Also imagine what MacT would've done

          Uhmmm, nothing on the ridiculous contracts given out to children making one soon to be worth $2M more than anyone else, and then other one of the most expensive in the league when both are well before UFA status?

          I think Strome will work out well for the Oilers. I really don't understand the Draisaitl signing. Who else would have offered so much?
