Is there any way Rielly can be traded? I like him as an elite 2nd Pair but don't see him as a 1st Pair without the Leafs getting him an elite RHD partner...which normally have to be drafted.

How can Marner be traded before the HUGE bonus is paid?? Can't see it. Not sure if he will be traded at all. He and his agent seem selfish and vindictive which will continue to hurt the Leafs chances at a Cup.

I really like Bertuzzi's passion but he doesn't have much skill nor hockey sense. I would rather get Joshua for $2 + million less.

If Rielly can't be traded then Sherwood and Roy can't be signed either...Reaves replaces Sherwood and Rielly replaces Roy

Every forward line has a banger, a sniper and a playmaker

Each defence pair have an offensive leaning Dman and a defensive banger.

Goalies are 1A and 1B

If Sherwood is signed then Reaves and Gregor get sent down.

Unless, the Leafs can get two guys who are better than him or at least a guy that you consider to be a true #1, it doesn't make any sense. Adding Skjei and Montour would probably be the best pair to replace him but that's not really better than having Rielly and Pesce/Skjei/Montour for example, it's more or less going to be the same if not flat out worse. If the Leafs can get Roy, he should be the ideal partner for Rielly who allows for the Leafs to get the best out of him.

joshua is 28 years old and has one 30 point season. Signing him to that contract, especially with term is dumb as hell, saying Bertuzzi doesnt have hockey sense and then turning around and giving that to Joshua is funny as hell. Bertuzzi has more 20 goal seasons than Joshua has 20 point seasons. You pay bertuzzi more because he's worth more and way way way more likely to actually score 20 goals and 50 points again.
One guy is at worst a good 2nd liner and one is at best a very good 3rd liner. terrible contract and terrible rationalization

also max domi is not a center, he has never been a center, he will never be a center and no, his 2 games in the playoffs at center do not mean anything, and no his face off percentage also means nothing. He is as pure a winger as you can get
