Devil's advocate: Do the signings really help with the grit vs skill ratio? Adding Kane, Sprong, and Jones on top of Fox, Chytil, Panarin, and Zib doesn't really close that gap. Janmark could help in that regard, but I feel like they could get similar 4th line value for a bit less.

The pick value difference between 18 & 30 is valued at an early 2nd round pick (#34). In my opinion Kakko isn’t worth an early 2nd round pick so I think the Hawks decline.

I'd offer Entwistle and Raddysh for Kakko. They'll sign for cheap and add grit to your bottom six.

Not Realistic. Hawks aren't trading down in the 1st round to add Kakko. If they have any interest in him, they've got plenty of 2nd and 3rd round picks to use.
