No thanks on that Oilers trade. Andersons contract is bad but it’s done in 3 years at $5.5 million. But that Nurse contract is horrible, we don’t another LHD as well. Just a easy no thanks on that one

The Kings best forward prospect and 1st line winger down the stretch last season in exchange for a cap dump? Am I missing something here?

How can you watch the playoffs and be like: "You know what? I want Darnell Nurse on my team for 6 more years at $9M+!"

The only possible explanation is that you don't watch EDM playoffs run.

Why in the world would a cap-stressed team like Los Angeles exchange a young prospect on his second but minimum-level contract for a UFA veteran on a $4.45 million contract which is seriously under water?!?!?

OK,
for 3 years Montreal could absorb the difference of $ if Nurse is seen to have any value
In 3-6 years the cap is supposed to be substantially more, so trading or buying out Nurse if he is not improved in a different situation is possible

Anyway, this was meant for people with some thought process and creativity so Capfriendly may not be the best place, but think about it. Some people see Anderson as untradeable, others Nurse, and the list goes on. The fact is there is always a solution and 3 years from now will be a different story.

Here's some thought process for you:

Does Nurse play better or is less expensive than Anderson? Absolutely freakin not.

The end.
