Broberg is worth more than an expensive third pair dman. It will be more worth it to offload kulak and use broberg and save the cap space. So trading broberg for Middleton who isn’t needed would be a horrible move imo</div></div>
What does this trade have to do with the trading of Kulak? Of course Edmonton can trade Kulak and get a capable 3rd pair d-man from the Wild at a cheaper price???

2.) In line with the above, they'll already likely be looking to divest from Kulak despite his effectiveness.
3.) Broberg is a talented, young, and likely very affordable option for a team focused on winning to have.
As for him "leaving in FA", he's only just now going to be an RFA for the first time so he can't just up and leave. He'd need to either be traded (which I believe would be against EDM's best interests) or be offersheeted, if he's even eligible for such (which I don't think he is).
Lastly, he's 22 and there doesn't need to be this panic about him not being on the team already. 22 and 23 are completely normal ages for Dmen to secure a spot in the NHL.</div></div>
Edmonton has never spent the time and effort to develop a high end young defensive prospect. What evidence aside from "economics" is there to suggest anything else?

So many fans on this site have no confidence in their teams' ability to sign good players. Mind blowing, especially fans of good teams. I guess sports is just an outlet to relieve personal life patterns of false scarcity?

Maybe stick to your own team sir?
Bc this is just absurd for the Sabres
ZERO CHANCE</div></div>
Everyone outside of emotional Buffalo fans knows exactly what is going on with the Sabres. Krebs is just a guy in hockey, won't move the needle on any team in any way. I know who he was traded for and where he went in the draft but he will have a long career in the bottom 3 or 6 and that is about it. There are far better prospects that will have that spot next year.
With that said, Buffalo has been one of my favorite teams for 30 years. The bull**** has to stop with this team, get some proper veterans for the stack of young skill.

Why on earth would the Sabres want a backup goalie who’s playing so bad that his save% is UNDER .890 ???
We wouldn’t have ANY INTEREST whatsoever
And we sure as $h!t wouldn’t trade Krebs for him
That’s just absurd dude
Olofsson for a 3rd…. maybe</div></div>
The 3rd has the most value of the bunch which is unfortunate. A couple guys that get 12 minutes on a terrible team says it all. Forsberg is a veteran upgrade to Comrie, a year left on his contract is worth the gamble as he is usually a decent backup. Olofsson is a goner anyway, Buffalo better have upgrades at forward next year because if Krebs and Olofsson are counted on, the Sabres are in deep trouble.

You don't quite understand that you have to give up assets to acquire someone like Guentzel.
If the new rumor is a Giroux like trade then Perfetti would be about as comparable as you can get. 22, 10th over all, has played around 100 games in the NHL. Tippett was 22/23 when traded from FLA, 10th over all, about 100 games with FLA.
That's about as on the nose as you can get in comparison to the deal.
I put Chibrikov in because you don't have a 24 1st and would have to make it a 25 1st.</div></div>
Sorry, TIppett is not comparable to Perfetti. Straight up would be a debate that would only be won by the Jake camp if WInnipeg has a lot of playoff success. One for one might be a good hockey trade. I am not one to have fantasies with young players. Sports fans obviously love gambling.

I think the problem with Jake getting traded is that everyone knows he is signing in Pittsburgh this summer. What Phili got for Claude seems to be the price, the Montreal 2nd is basically a playoff team 1st, Pittsburgh wants Winnipeg 1st next year instead that would be the pick. Maybe another prospect name. Anyway, fans think they know prospects but they just spit out what they read from another source. Also, Winnipeg fans will also **** that they don't need another winger...but they do need another scorer and I am sure the coaches don't give a **** if that scorer plays goalie haha

What is the point of selling? To entertain old men on tv that are wasting time of younger men watching tv in their parent's basement? A team like the leafs can "sell" some useless gladiators for poor picks while mesmerizing idiot fans, or you can get real and figure out how to get out of the cycle of signing other teams' losers short term. Personally, I prefer Toronto keep the shiny toys while playing a team game relying on individuals. Watching Toronto run on a fantasy hamster wheel is cheap entertainment,

Are you really that slow to think the post was about trading the top 8 prospects for each team. It is an obvious example of the prospects that should make these team contenders for years to come, as the title said. So, if you do not want a reply to a dumb ass question on a message board....do not post a dumb ass comment.
If you assume that I know nothin' 'bout hackey, and I am as emotionally unstable as you; that comment would lead to a lot more examples from me in regards to how superior I feel compared to you.
