Husso is a dump, at least to the Hawks so not a chance they pay anything and will asked to get paid to take him

I like Necas, but giving that up for another winger while our RHD still sucks after Seider is absurd.

If you are to dump a goalie on a team who doesn’t need him, you will have to pay. Husso and his $4.75m will require at minimum a 2nd round pick for the Hawks to accept.

Too much for Necas. If they were to trade a 1st for him, it is more likely to be next years with some protection built in than 15OA.

Chicago moved up a whopping 13 spots to take on a Mrazek dump at $3.8M x 2. And that was with $8.6M real dollars still owed.

Carolina doesn't want futures, and you can't just wish away Fabbri, Maatta and Holl and Husso.

Wild pass. Sounds like the Wild are looking to extend on Middleton and I just don't see the value in making this trade.

They also needed a starter, which is part of why they took Mrazek. They still have Mrazek so they don't need a $4.75m backup goalie.

The value of moving up from 38 to 25 is exponentially more valuable than you are insinuating. Not only that, but, with a little bit of belief in the player and some focus on helping him heal, he has actually turned out to be one of the better goalies in the league.

What the hell does that have to do with anything?

At the time Chicago needed a goalie so perhaps they gave the Leafs a slight discount, now they don’t need a starter, totally different situation, totally different price.

Look at other cap dump trades made by Davidson.

- took 1 1/4 years of Zaitsev and received a 2nd and 4th round pick
- took 1 year of Bailey at $5m and bought him out for $3.3m and got a 2nd round pick
- took 2 years of Dickinson at $2.75m, traded Stillman at $1.15m and got a 2nd round pick

You know what I was far too generous suggesting a 2nd round pick was the minimum, make it a 1st round pick.

What the hell does Chicago taking much less for a goalie with longer term and more money owed while being as ****ty the year prior as Husso this year have to do with anything?

Golly, I dunno...

I enjoy the BS about how "Chicago needed a starter" though. Yes, because Chicago was very concerned about having a starting caliber goalie (A generous description of Mrazek) in the year they were clearly tanking for Bedard. They were so concerned about icing a competitive team that they made this trade the same day they traded Debrincat and Dach for picks.

Well they did, go back and look to before the Mrazek trade, they literally had no one. Acquiring Mrazek gave them someone who had served as a starter in the league, carried some cap which they needed and they also so felt and correctly so may be a good reclamation project. None of those factors apply today, you can pretend it isn’t true but that clearly illustrates you are a liar or clueless… you decide.
