Every Laine trade I see seems vastly overpriced to me. I think fans are more in to the idea of adding him than actual GMs will be. He is an 8.7 AAV cap hit coming off a down year, as well as being in the program. I don't think he even has the value of a 1st round pick currently. I get there is a lot of retention there, but I don't think CBJ is going to go for that in a deal. I think it's more of a move on scenario for whatever you can get.

I don’t think he gets moved for scraps, but if they retain down to 6 mil, I think he’s probably worth a 2 and a 3? But that is just me guessing. GMs are risk averse and there is a lot of risk there.
