You've averaged about a post a day as a user of this site. It's ok to be pissed off even as a Caps fan. The entire hockey community is losing a great resource and one of the best hockey sites.

For the Blackhawks: "hating the people in the organization at this point is misguided", fair, but hating the organization isn't. A $2M fine isn't s***, and you can't convince me otherwise that the team should have forfeited multiple draft picks/draft classes. Trading a player with a NTC? Capital punishment. Covering up sexual assault for years, resulting in the assault of 2 college students? Slap on the wrist equivalent to ~0.05% of the owner's/family's net worth.

IMO, effective punishment would be forfeiting all 2022 + 2023 draft picks, and watching the organization win the Bedard lottery knowing full well they couldn't draft him. Want to send a message that sexual assault isn't okay? And that there's actual consequences for that? That would have sent a message. F*** the Hawks for eternity, and f*** Bettman/the league for such a weak, cowardly stance.

F*** the Pens, too, for purely hockey reasons. And f*** the Caps for good measure.
