Description
In this scenario Toronto signs Stamkos and thus have to trade Marner for pics & talents. NJ also manage to convince Mercer to sign s one year 1M bridge contract , And Arvidsson wants to be in a contender but dosen’t get a good offer because of his injury history so he signs 1y for cheep, hoping for better luck in 2026. And 2026 will be tricky offseason for Devils but they plan to trade or buyout one or two players to be able to resign Marner and L.Huges and mayby Mercer.

That package for Marner is 🗑️.
Marner (theoretically only, because he holds the power) would only be waived after July 1 when his bonus has been paid and he’s free to negotiate an extension. Why would Tre trade for anyone until he knew Marner had been dealt 🤯?. Maybe he’ll also sign Montour for $8M & Roy $6M and Tanev $5M forcing himself to move Nylander out in a panic for a 3rd.
Just plain preposterous

The scenario is Fiala is very unhappy playing for LA so they agree to trade, NJ then offers Palat + extra to be able to aford Fiala , whitch LA in time accept in lack of better offers
About Jets , Bowers no good and Stanley big and ok fit until Hamilton is back

No problem with the idea - Marner out & Stamkos in. Personally I think priorities for Leafs - with Marner’s cap space - would be RHD & 2C, but Stamkos is himetown kid.
Just disagree that Tre will be forced to selling short on Marner - it’ll be well thought out. With an extension, I’d expect 1st + young (elc) roster player + A prospect.

Yeah maby true based on how in my opinion Late 1st round pics are overvalued in general , and possibly Stillman and/or Diotte for example have bigger future in NHL than I think.

For LA trade in this scenario Fiala more or less force a trade because of Hiller and he will be very unhappy so they in time agree , but maby they can get better offers for Fiala

If LAK is offering that, would be hard to say no.

Marner is great, but we have holes to fill and top-6 winger on a 1-year deal is probably not high on our list.

Calgary accepts your offer.

There are 4 players coming to Calgary that the Flames don't really want but none of them are highly overpaid or have excessively long term left on their contracts. In fact it could be useful to have them around for depth next year.
