For a 1 year rental it's a joke... trading our only power forward with any scoring touch for another perimeter player is not something the canes are gonna do

Panthers are the dirtiest team. Bennet intentionally concussed multiple players the last two playoffs. Absolute loser that man is. **** the Panthers because of that ****. Although I suppose its more the NHL Player Suspension dept that is to blame. Those guys ****ing suck.

And no, that is a fair trade. Svech has never come close to Marners numbers and Necas wants to move. This trade has the potential to be a win for both teams or a blowout for either, you can't know until years down the line.

No it's not obvious. You never mentioned his new contract or posted a Carolina roster with Marner and his contract fits in their cap.
But it's a bad traded for Canes anyway. Trading away two 70 point player, who total about 15m in cap for a 95 point player who might make about 12m in cap.
