Hard to imagine Guentzel's UFA rights have much value or that CHI would want him - he'll be declining by the time the Hawks are good - but otherwise this is an interesting proposal. I think they're on the fence about whether it's time to turn the whole D over to the young guys. I think they should, and Murphy's combo of reasonable contract and pretty good play make him a trade candidate.

I think he has trade value, especially to a playoff team. But let's not kid ourselves that he's a real hot commodity.
