Optimistic for sure, I think you undervalue the cost of most free agents... probably an extra 3M at least and I doubt we can dump Mik for a 4th.

Hmmm not so sure, Buffalo deal looks pretty close.

Leafs said to be targeting a RHD man and will most likely lose out on Pesce. You've got Easton Cowan coming. Price for a 50 point RHD is probably pretty accurate, although you probably think a 4th liner is adequate value.

I know it's funny when the Leafs get booted in the first round every year. Can't wait for the garbage return they're going to get for Marner.

Depending on how Negotiations go, I would probably do that Suter deal. His Avv is a mill less than Jokers QO.

Can't see any reason for Buffalo to trade one of their two right shot D (with no ready prospects in the AHL yet) for a bottom 6 forward when the Sabres have several young prospects who are ready for some NHL ice time. Suter just blocks the path.

Leafs aren't trading Knies. Wouldn't swap him straight up for Hronek. And Leafs probably don't want to pay Hronek what he's asking for salary wise. Especially since it doesn't sound like Marner or Tavares are going to waive their no move clauses. They probably can't afford Pesce either.

I mean it's not really funny at this point just sad - this ACGM is funny though because you actually believe any team other than the Canucks would accept these trades. I'll help you out though so you can do better next time:

UFAs: Why on God's green earth would Guentzel take a paycut (on top of Canadian taxes) to go to Vancouver? He has stated he prefers to stay in the USA multiple times and will easily command over 9M AAV. Same with Roy, who will make over 5M AAV on his next contract. Ironically, you overpayed for Zadorov, a glorified shutdown 3rd pair guy.

Chicago trade: It will cost a 1st, maybe more to move Mikheyev. Getting out of paying almost 10 million over the next 2 years for a mediocre bottom 6 forward does not come cheap.

Toronto trade: Knies is untouchable, plain and simple. Hronek regressed severely down the stretch and was not good in the playoffs. Knies on the other hand was one of the Leafs' few bright spots. Add in a 1st and the trade is straight up comical, especially when considering the contract Hronek will demand.

    Buffalo trade: meh

As a Sabres fan, I’d do this and try to move Krebs for another RHD. May seem like rearranging deck chairs, but Suter would stabilize a lot of the issues Buffalo has on the bottom 6. Would also be a good mentor for the kids, like they tried to do with Eric Johnson, except not a bad hockey player to boot.
