I don't see Carolina needing a goalie, Koochie is expected to take over there soon.

Carlo is likely a required piece in getting Zegras from Anaheim, but that doesn't feel like a deal that gets taken by Verbeek.

I really like the Carlo fit for ANA. But coming off a bottom 3 standings finish, it just feels silly to move Zegras with 2 years on an RFA deal for Carlo who’s ‘a 3 years remaining would take him to UFA right when ANA is starting to make a real push

Didn’t pay much attention to Lysell but his stats look fine

Either way, props to OP for adding value and players who are in positions of need for ANA in something original

I’d be all for this deal. Zegras is what we wish lysell could become and losing Carlo hurts but we need someone who can excel pastas game.

Pasta and zegras would make for a very fun duo on and off the ice.


I’d fully expect zegras to become a 50-60 assist guy next to pasta probably consistently hovering around PPG with a breakout season or 2 of 90+
