They accepted Chabot for Oleksiak + a 2nd in a previous post I had. I feel like Tanevs value is similar to a 2nd.

Sens take a huge hit on value here imo. Love Oleksiak, but the Tanev thing I don't get. He's a solid 4th liner

Maybe I'm wrong but I just don't think it's a fit. 1 fan agreeing to a trade doesn't mean the team would do it though. From my understanding they value both Tanev and Oleksiak fairly highly

Chabot value is low right now. Tanev comes off the books next year and Oleksiak the year after so we free up 8M$ two years early. Plus getting Brandon it could lure his brother.

Edit: Oleksiak also PKs well, blocks shots, and very physical. Literally 3 things we need. Tanev is not offensive at all but he brings everything else we need.

Yeah Chabby is way better than both players for sure, I just valued the physicality, leadership/vet part. Both play on the PK and would protect our top 6 etc.

I mean it’s probably right for what chabots value is, but i think it makes more sense to move chychrun for a better return rather than committing to him signing him to probably around the same aav as chabot.

I think they’re upside is about the same, both have question marks. I think i’d rather have the better return and the shorter contract over the next 4-5 years
