Driaistail won't sign for a five year for that much, but he does have restrictions on salary and term as RFA. Unless he threatens to play in Russian, the Oilers hold all (Well most of the cards)

At $7,850,000, the compensation for an RFA is a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Someone would be willing to offer that to Leon Draisaitl, and no one's signed him, so you have to think that he's looking for more.

I feel like this is a much more fair value for Draisatl as he only deserves around 7m based off performance.
