How is sending us more cap helping us out? That makes zero sense. We can afford them just fine with our 30M in cap space. What we might not be able to afford is significant upgrades to the team after said extensions are in place. That is unless we move out some lesser contracts. We need an actual top 4 RHD, not another third pairing one with a less than desirable contract.

They won't bring back Sprong. He was a healthy scratch down the stretch as he is a defensive liability. I hope they move on from Perron as he's lost a step and struggles against younger quick acceleration players. Kane would be welcome back--but is going to get paid as his agent, Pat Brisson, is notorious for that. Kane said he also wants term something a lot of teams won't want to do. Kane's wife's family is mostly in Chicago. His is mostly in Buffalo. They want to be within driving distance of family since they have a 3 yr old son. So that limits teams to pick from. Ghost is expensive for a 3rd pair d-man that is a defensive liability--but an offensive weapon and PP specialist. With the Wings graduating 2 AHL'ers (1st and 2nd rounders) there might not be a position for him anyways.

Wings have 29M in salary cap before they move/buyout anyone. Mo & Raymond won't cost more than 17M combined add the fact thatJoe Veleno isn't getting a huge raise after putting up 12 goals and 16 assists. Now supplement that with the fact they have ELC and cheap bridge deal players coming up. Their salary cap isn't as stressed as you think.
