Trades:
The Utah trade.
Utah gets brannstrom, who is still a young speedy d man who absolutely needs a change of scenery and I believe is an amazing fit with Utah. Forsberg is just a dump, though he did have a .917 with a garbage Ottawa team in 2022 so it could end up working out. Sokolov is a nice piece who can fit with the core and be a solid bottom 6er. Getting pick 25 this year and a pick probably between 40-50 next year.

Ottawa gets an upgrade in net, though it could fluke since Ingram was never that good before this year. And obviously the main piece of the deal is getting schmaltz to solidify the top 6 for a few years.

The chychrun trade.
I should’ve specified he will sign an extension with Dallas. Dallas gets an upgrade on d offensively to add to Harley and heisk. They also get a 4th round pick which can turn out but we never know. That is in exchange for a good prospect who I see as a middle 6er with the sens group, and pick 28-32. Dallas buys and hopes for another cup run while sens clear cap and get a solid player and pick.

The Norris trade. Boston finally gets their Center, and a change in doctors for Norris. Boston doesn’t give up anything that valuable besides carlo in this deal (who is obviously very good) so I think it can work for them. Norris would probably be with Marchand and not pasta since they are both trigger guys. Ottawa gets carlo to solidify the pairing with chabot, a nice depth piece in boqvist who could spark the B6, and a third.

The RFA signings:
Ahl guys: obviously ahl guys just gonna get 2 yr 2 way league minimums and can be good call ups and help bellville with the playoffs next year. It was rumoured pinto wants a 5 or 6 year deal, I personally would love to lock him up for that long and I see him as the 2C without Norris. Getting him at a high aav which I think he has proven he is worth at both the nhl level and the worlds, though I made sure he was making less than batherson so it is realistic. Parker kelly getting a multi year deal is something I’d love to prioritize because he took a nice step in the b6 this year and he is a valuable effective Glue guy and 4th liner for the near future at a low AAV.

UFA signings:
Chatfield will provide a lot of energy and physicallity, especially on a pairing with kleven, and canes won’t be able to afford a lot so I’m assuming he walks.
Arvidson was signed to a 2 year deal so if he sucks ir won’t be the worst outcome, and I am hoping that he provides a good spark to bourque and Greig, as a veteran. And assuming Ottawa is a playoff team, his clutch would be awesome.


Final thoughts:
Yes this is obviously a dream as a sens fan, and there will definitely be some angry fans in the comments here, but I’m trying to see what’s possible, realistic, and what makes sense for this group, and I believe that for the most part (maybe excluding the realistic part) all the boxes are checked off.
